Buyer ATTENTION! Not waterproof!

This worked pretty well for our new teenage German shepherd. Since we had to buy a new one, I can compare with others. The response time with this collar is much slower. Bad rating for false advertising. This collar is NOT waterproof. The first time it got caught in a rainstorm, it shorted out and just stayed in vibrate mode. READ this review good product use CAREFULLY

I bought this for a 'shock collar'. I'm glad it has a BEEP and VIBRATION because even on the LOWEST SHOCK setting this thing gives a ZAP! I WILL NOT USE THE SHOCK SETTING on my dog for fear of harm. Before using the collar, I tested it on my hand, fingers and thighs. It gives one hell of a shock! I can't imagine what this can do to my dog's neck. Love it! But. If you must use longer contact points, they are not safe.

I really liked this collar. We don't have more than a week. The signal strength is great. Easy to use. Effective in class. My complaint is with the contact point. The part that needs to touch my dog's neck to work. He has a lot of loose skin (he's a hunting dog) so I put on longer ones and one side was already torn and lost. Is there a way to buy a replacement? Update: I bought an extra collar. I've tried using super glue but still can't hold the longer contact points. We still use both sound…

Best dog training device I have ever used

I have a 1 year old puppy who gets excited when a friend shows up, sometimes jumps up and even bites, if you try to stop him he becomes defensive and catches started barking at us until it calmed down after a few minutes, the woman was very scared to use the e-collar when I suggested this, but after a very bad incident, she told me ok, take the collar and let's see if it helps. Has been working on our German Shepherd!

We adopted a 2 year old German Shepherd who is very energetic and didn't go through any discipline before we got him. He's a sweet dog with some basic training commands, but he lacked self-control and basic cage training, and slapping his nose or butt didn't help deter some bad moves like jumping on the counter.
