Replacement Shocks

A lot of bikes just die and walk away due to frame fatigue. Not like this bike. Parts wear out and need to be replaced. The RT3 damper replaces the old model damper. Due to the small difference in size, an offset bushing is required. Everything works great with the new damper.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Doubtful

Works great - Cycling

I received this shock to replace the one on my bike. The standard had no lock and that made some of the long climbs in my area quite difficult. I bought this shock absorber because it had a lock-up. It works great and I would recommend it. Be sure to purchase a matching kit if you don't already have one.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Some flaws

Didn't fit! on Parts & Components

Rockshox uses a 12.5mm jack. Asian Standard - Socket 12.0mm. I ride a Stein Wild One trike, which uses the Asian standard, although it is made in Serbia. The conversion would be easy if someone made adapter bushings, but you won't find anything like this on Rockshox or the SRAM website. What the hell am I supposed to do with it if it doesn't fit? Send it back!

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • It's OK

2016 Debonair Suspension Champion

Year after year, Rockshox continually improves on this superior damper. I've demonstrated ALL of these and I keep coming back to the Monarch RT3: highly adjustable damping and even the IFP can be adjusted to suit the softness of the coil spring. do you hear fox Demo: BOS Vipr 2 Fox Racing DPS EVOL Fox Float Re: Aktiv Fox Float DRCV Fox Float RP23 CTD DT Swiss ODL X313 X-Fusion 02 RL Cane Creek DB Inline

Great, with a little note

I'm not a bike mechanic, just a cyclist. When I replaced my 5 year old Monarch 3.3 with this Monarch RT3 I noticed that they now place the fill nipple in a fixed extended position. The old Monarch 3.3 could pivot to the stowed position. I'm not thrilled that I now have a metal spike sticking out of my knee while riding! This can cause injury if it falls. Of course there is a lot of protruding metal on any bike, but before installing the Monarch RT3 I didn't have any metal spikes on my knee…
