Description of πŸ”Š Monolith Multi-Channel Power Amplifier - Black with 3x200 Watt Per Channel, XLR Inputs for Home Theater & Studio: Unleash Crystal Clear Audio Power

Power: A true 200-watt experience. Unlike most amplifiers or receivers, the Monolith's 200 watts per channel rating is measured with all seven channels driven across the full power bandwidth of 20Hz to 20kHz into 8-ohm loads. Additionally, there is NO current limiting and there is no protection circuitry in the amplifier circuit path. Even if the speakers' impedance drops to a low level, the Monolith is robust enough that the current is never limited. Dynamics: High resolution audio delivers the best in music and movie soundtracks. You deserve an amplifier capable of delivering clear and clean audio across a wide dynamic range!. With a more than 120dB signal to noise ratio, the Monolith 3 can clearly and accurately articulate the quietest portions, the loudest portions, and everything in between. Class AB: More efficient than Class A, many high end, audiophile grade amplifiers utilize a Class AB design.

Sounds good though. for receiver and amplifier

While I'm generally very happy with the performance of the amp, I have some concerns about what I hope will be a minor issue, which is the amp squeal on shutdown. Unfortunately, despite having a card attached to the amp demonstrating Monoprice's commitment to 100% satisfaction, after two requests for help from their support team I was not able to get an answer. Hopefully my last email from your techline is more satisfactory. Overall I'd rate the Monolith 7 as excellent value for money, but the…

7x200W on all channels! Crystal clear sound, awesome

This is a brutal amp. Weighing in at 93 pounds, lugging it around and hooking it up to an AV system isn't for the faint of heart. The sound is crystal clear, the only thing I can say is that the noise level is slightly higher than my Anthem MRX720 AVR. This isn't a problem, though, as you can only hear the hissing if you put your ear directly to the tweeter's speaker. The sound is great and I now have enough power in the system to handle the heaviest explosion or gunfire in the movie. Seeing…

Great upgrade for my setup

So far mine is working great powered by my Yamaha AVR as preprocessor with cheap but decent RCA cables. No hum, the trigger works as it should with no need to change any trigger related settings in the AVR. This was a huge upgrade for me, bringing my KEF LS50 to life and sounding so much better than the AVR. Strangely even my SVS powered subwoofer sounds better although I have no idea why as it isn't powered by the monolith. Probably just a placebo effect I think. I mostly listen at moderate…

Great audiophile amp

I bought the 2 channel version to accompany my Marantz SR7009 when I wanted a stereo session. I have used Pangea 14se mk2 power cords for both this amp and my Marantz. The amp is heavy, through the top eye you can see a toroidal transformer and a huge radiator for each channel. Definitely a quality amp made (designed and assembled) in the USA. It easily overclocks my Dynaudio dm3/7, a hard speaker with 4 ohms impedance, 86 dB sensitivity and IEC >200 W+ power consumption. Even after several…

Reliable performer so far

I doubt this will be short. Starting with the Yamaha 3050, the first receiver I ever owned, with completely silent hum (no static hiss from the speakers) and seemingly "high end" sound quality, along with my Atlantic Technology 350 speakers. 2200s everywhere). However, the 350s were starting to die, so I looked for other speakers of equal value and settled on the M&K S-150. Since they are voracious, I knew I needed a different, more powerful amp than the one in the receiver, so I went with the…
