TAKE DRIVING SERIOUSLY AND YOUR TRUCK SAFETY SERIOUSLY!

ALSO, ALONG WITH REPLACING ALL FOUR SHOCK ABSORBERS, I REPLACED THIS ITEM ON MY TOYOTA WIT AT 255750 KM, AND IT WAS AGAIN WHEN I WAS GOING ON A HIGH RIDE AT HIGH SPEED. BEFORE THE FRONTEND WAS DIRTY FROM SIDE TO SIDE.!

Pros
  • Power Steering
Cons
  • Minor Problems

Bringing the vehicle back to stock specs and placement

While I have yet to update my front steering components, this steering damper helped immensely with the death wobble I was feeling on the freeway. This replaced the worn-out Rancho damper and its mounts, returning the car to stock performance and layout. At the same time, the front shock absorbers were replaced. Very satisfied. ('95 4Runner)

Overall product looks great and is completely satisfied with its function. The overall look and welds (made in the USA) are always a plus. There are problems with installation as the fixed diameter of the bolt that enters through the eye of the steering assembly is too large and does not sink far enough to clear the frame (causing the outer nut to pull against the frame when turning from the rider rubs side.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Fits

Works very well, the effect is felt immediately. Doesn't eliminate 100% steering lock but is a huge improvement over the original. Maybe I'll try ARB next time because they should be even more durable. But for the price (1/3 the price of an ARB block!) that's enough for 90% of all needs. That's more than enough on pavement, gravel and dirt. You will still have steering issues on rocky jeep tracks, but they will be much better than without them.

Pros
  • Spare parts
Cons
  • There are problems

I don't normally write bad reviews, but my 1990 4WD had the setup wrong.

**Update in comments below. I don't normally write bad reviews, but my 1990 4WD 4runner had the wrong setup. The damper block itself seems to fit snugly, but the double-ended bolt isn't big enough to push into the steering component, its diameter is about 1/8th its thickness. It's a pity because you find things like that after you take the old one off. and this is my daily driver. Now I have to try and reduce the diameter of the tapered bolt to fit the steering and of course I wouldn't get…

Pros
  • Steering dampers and stabilizers
Cons
  • Slightly cracked
