Fits perfectly on Explorer 1997

Fits perfectly on Explorer 1997. At first there were problems with sliding on the steering rack, it kept breaking down and going into the steering rack. I thought it was the boots, then realized there was a small vent tube resting on top of the rack and pushing the trunk in. I unscrewed the vent and the trunk almost installed itself.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Newer model could have been selected

Disappointed with the quality of this Moog replacement part.

I used this part along with all the other Moog suspension parts I needed to rebuild my Explorer front suspension. I was disappointed that it only lasted two years before one broke and had to be replaced. I expected more from Moog. Substitutes for polyurethane were found that should not be degraded.

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Annoyed

Fits perfectly! in the steering system

Good replacement bellows. I repaired the front suspension of my car. So of course I went ahead and replaced the bellows! Like most people, I'm not a fan of cable ties. I bought some metal hose clamps as a spare and they work great! Clamp diameter sizes I use: - Large diameter: 3Β½" (90mm) - Small diameter: ΒΎ" (20mm) Car: 2000 Ford Ranger XL / Torsion bar

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Perfect replacement

I used this to replace the split boot on my 2000 Ford Ranger. My boot was torn and the lube spilled onto the floor. The hardest part was getting the outer tie rod off the locknut. Once free, I removed the old boot and put on the new one. I would recommend attaching the inner zip (large) before putting the boot on and also turning the zip down for access to tighten. So I was able to swap easily. I would allow an hour for each side of the shelf if you have a properly stocked toolbox. All in all…

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Not the best
