Economical solution for ball joints

Economical solution for ball joints. Not as durable as original hardware parts, but three times cheaper. Easy installation with a minimum of hand tools.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Appearance

Failed in less than three months.

I remember when Moog was on top. I know Michigan's roads are rough, but that's totally unacceptable. With every kit I've installed, the bottom ball joint creates excessive play. In addition to having to replace those junk control arms multiple times, I have to get an alignment every time they are replaced.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No orders

squeaking when driving over bumps at low speed disappeared. I did both wishbones and swapped them out for lubricated Moog tie rods as well. All parts fit well, easy to install in my garage with BASIC tools (jumpers, sockets, BFH). The only downside is that I'm back with the Revain and I want the return trip to be just as quiet and smooth!

I am very happy with these parts

Went to my local auto parts store, they wanted $169 each for this exact part! I am very happy with these parts. They're a little hard to grab, but I don't think it's Moog's fault. I found it easiest to install the back panel first. A pry bar was required to align the large disc-shaped hub. After that, the second bushing only needed a hammer to hammer in the screw.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

The arm fits my Jeep Patriot '09 and works great on its own, but the included lower ball joint (LBJ ) has failed * within 12 months. Also note: This ball joint is NOT the typical re-lubricated version of MOOG, which surprised me, but I at least expected it to last longer. Also on the other side (RK620066) the same thing happened - LBJ was down for 6 months*. *By failure I mean frequent loud rattles and the mechanic strongly recommended replacing it, citing safety concerns. It's very rare for an

Great article on dampers, struts and suspension

I wrote an LCA review for the other side but I bought one for both sides so I'll check those out too. Jeep Patriot 2009 2.4L 4x4 Sport. Since the ball joint is fairly integrated and I didn't want to buy a press I bought the whole forearm with built in. Removing the old one was easy enough. I simply used a liquid wrench and loosened the bolts. This hand slid and aligned perfectly, but there was a small problem. The vertical bolt isn't aligned because the shoe you're putting it in moves and is…
