Good save for body

Good save for my 2007 F-150 with extended cab. Installation is not easy, but not very difficult. But about a 7 out of 1-10 for installation difficulty. Be sure to watch the video on YouTube.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • I am silent

Will not work on 2005 F150

I have a 2005 Ford F150. Please do not purchase this item if you have a 2005 F150. They are too small for cables and not worth your time. I am looking for another set to buy from another seller.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Mystery

Well if you have a dremel and patience.

For the 2007 F150 FX2 Supercab rear doors you will need 3 cams for each door. I used a dremel to modify the non-cam type in the kit and also expand the cable slot. When delivered, the cable does not fit into the slot, it is too narrow.

That does not fit! for body and paneling

Does not fit! The cable was too big for the channel on my 2005 F250 and there was no cut out in the head. I think the head could fit in the linkage but I never got that far! I have no idea how people got this to work, but good for those who have!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Only available in black

Small inconveniences turned into big headaches

Does not fit 2004 Ford F-150. The diameter is too large to fit the latch mount and the cable channel is too narrow and "pinches" the cable so it cannot move freely to engage the latch. Once installed, the smaller "cam" end for the top latch will rotate slightly in the bracket and disengage. A project that should have taken an hour turned into a half day tedious job and the door still doesn't work properly. the need to replace the entire locking and cable system; exactly what I was hoping to…

Pros
  • Good performance
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Much better than rotten gum, but good filling may be required.

These spade lugs replace the rotting grommets Ford uses on the Supercab's rear doors, permanently securing a stuck door the way it should be. Note, however, that you may need to archive them a bit to make them work. The wire cable slot was too narrow for my 2000 Ford cables - it caught on the cable causing it to stick open. I had to cut the slot a bit wider so the cable could fit in easily. They're cheap enough and fairly soft metal, so it's not too bad - just don't expect any deterioration in…

Pros
  • Perfect for the outdoors
Cons
  • Reliability

Working but not out of the box

I have a 2004 F150 and the rubber bushings were completely broken and worn out. I was able to scrape off all the old pieces, but attaching them is another story. The wire cables inside are too thick for the channels they offer. If the channels were round instead of flat, they would probably work better. I unscrewed them a bit with a screwdriver, but they don't quite work as expected. Also note that working with these metal cables can cause them to break, effectively destroying the entire cable.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Door Wire Repair - Body

These little tools make door repairs easy and cheap compared to buying a new wiring harness. It's still difficult to access after removing the door panels, but that's not a problem with this product, more like accessing the door mechanics. There are no instructions included, so I'm passing on my experience. The plastic coating around the cable needs to be cut about 1 inch from the end to fit the cable. Easily done with a utility knife/blade. They fit snugly into the door mechanism and may…

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Big and Bulky
