Not super high tech, does the job well

This is a good product, especially for home oil changers, it's an easy way to get rid of the service light after changing. set and cleared codes as needed. It's not a detailed diagnostic tool, but if you just want a code it's a good buy.

Pros
  • Advanced features
Cons
  • Minor issues

Poor quality product. Don't buy this!

Goods receipt; looked good worth the price. When I opened the box, there was no memory card. The instructions are useless. Should have read the other reviews (my bad one)! Not user friendly at all, the funny thing is that management spends more time on what you can't do with an item ie ownership, rules and regulations. As a high school teacher and somewhat literate person, skip these for another brand. I look forward to my refund and "launching" this item to the owner, operator, etc. Oh don't…

Pros
  • Connection instructions
Cons
  • I say nothing

Ease of use: Code readers and scan tools

This scanner is actually one of the easiest interfaces I have ever used. The operation is quite intuitive without having to consult the manual. It's just plug and play and the controls are simple and easy to understand. Unfortunately, even though my 1995 Subaru Legacy was OBDII capable, this scanner didn't read trouble codes. The scanner materials say it's for 1996 and newer vehicles, but I was hoping it would still work. Not exactly the manufacturer's fault - it was clear I was taking a risk…

Pros
  • ABS/Airbag codes are NOT supported
Cons
  • Not sure
