Great Tensioner for Automotive Use

As a hesitant buyer, I was pleasantly surprised with this tensioner. As my tests showed, it's a great addition to any automotive toolkit. The installation was straightforward with minimal effort required. The tensioner's durability and strength impressed me, especially when compared to similar products. The only downside was the price, which is slightly higher than other tensioners on the market. However, I still believe this is an excellent tensioner that will serve you well in your automotive

Pros
  • Durability and longevity due to high-quality materials and construction.
Cons
  • May require professional installation to ensure proper function and avoid damage to other components of the engine.

Not very durable - replacement parts

I had this tensioner fitted in a day and it's good that I checked it out because it was already shaking like a worn tensioner that had to be replaced. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the two halves of the fuselage had already separated. After screwing it on, if you wiggle it back and forth with a ratchet, you'll see how flimsy it is.

Pros
  • Belt tensioner
Cons
  • Negative impression

I used this belt tensioner to tighten the 22 year old original tensioner on my 1997 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0L V6 substitute. The new one looks exactly like the one I replaced. Pros: - The spring mechanism is durable. - Tension roller bearing is firm and smooth-running. - The tensioner pulley has almost no runout. - Existing mounting bolt fits correctly. The tensioner body is properly aligned with the square notches (keys) on the block. - Works well after installation. Cons: - None yet.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • poorly thought out
