READ AND INSTALL BEFORE BUYING

Please don't waste your time and money on non-genuine ball joints. The Motorcraft brand is more expensive, but they are durable. I bought a Moog brand with a 'new' boot design and am now changing after 8 months. This part comes with Loctite, circlip and ball joint only. *WITHOUT MOUNTING NUT* Retaining Nut # W707254-S441 Aftermarket locking nut will not fit Motorcraft brand threads.

Pros
  • Shocks, Struts & Suspension
Cons
  • High Price

Replaceable no-lube ball joints from the Motorcraft factory.

Motorcraft lower ball joints are not factory lubricated. Warning: Replacing the lower ball joints is not for the faint of heart or the faint of heart. You will need a ball joint press that has more than the 3 rings that come with the kit or you will not be able to press new ones. They also need to be strong enough or have tools like air tools. And a snap ring tool will come in handy. Luckily you don't have to do this more than once or twice in the life of the truck lol.

4 super crew no problem

OEM Motorcraft boxed item came with Loctite and a new retaining ring. The lock nut is not supplied or advertised with this part. Fits 2004 F150, 5.4 Super Crew no problem. If you're taking on this job, you probably know you'll need some special tools (ball joint tension tool, joint wrench, torque wrench, deep ball joint sockets). I have a professional aerospace mechanic but I think someone with low mechanical skills can do the job. There are several online tutorials that can help you prepare…
