So far it looks great!

Probably the best value for money USB meter. Pros: - Auto range - USB (what an insane thing for this price range) - Auto backlight - Seems solid - Temperature sensor included - VERY accurate (tested on a couple of pricier non-USB meters I have) - Sensors included It seems to work. Cons: - The battery compartment is difficult to remove. I ended up unscrewing it, then wrapped some tape around it and removed the tape along with the compartment cover. The best Bluetooth meter I've found!

Let's just say I've been English for over 30 years --- so I've used tons of devices. There are a few things to note that are unclear: When you receive this meter it comes with a 9V battery but it is not connected. You need to unscrew the screws on the back and flip open the battery to connect it. There's no real information on how to remove the cover, but it's not just a cover, it's more of a box - it slides down in and around the battery, so removal takes a bit of time, you just have to work…

Good bang for the buck in Testers

UPDATE: Two days after receiving the meter, the LCD backlight (controlled by a photocell) began to flicker. There is no way to turn it off. Very annoying. It's a Chinese counter for $40 so I wasn't expecting much. Send it back. The meter is fine for the money for ballpark data collection and electrical testing. The app is a bit more useful than the general tool.

This is more than necessary. Why? Is there a standard for filling really thick bags? The picture is misleading to show next to the phone. It's MUCH more than a phone, unless you've got one of those stupid new phones that enslave you to carry it around like a 50's teenager with a stack of textbooks and no backpack. In any case, when playing with leads, the counter works to ensure they make contact. Mine wasn't working OOB and had to fiddle with it after I fiddled with the battery compartment. ha
