Unreliable: mechanical and hand tools

These pliers worked well for a dozen cuts and then began to fail. The screw must be tightened after every 12 cuts. "Spring" pops out slightly, but mine is gone. This tool is ideal for hobbyists, not for everyday use.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Discontinued

Best value! c Hand tools

I'm a truck driver. Wanted something to cut through those damn coke wire seals they brought and tried it on the recommendation of another driver. Works perfectly! Cuts cords easley.work wanted to sell me a pair for $25 pfft work can keep them! This is a much better value.

This cutter is awesome!

I really like these wire cutters. I used it to cut a very large wire that it wasn't supposed to cut, but it did the job. It was very difficult to cut with these wire cutters, but I still really like them. They are very heavy and are great for cutting small wires. What I cut could hardly be called wire because it was so big.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Safety

Good value for money but didn't work for me for long.

Bought to replace another pair that looked exactly the same but we are from a different manufacturer. They worked great for a few cuts but soon stopped cutting. The metal on the blade showed obvious severe wear within 5 or 6 cuts. I had to go back. Dissatisfied. The price was great for my little project.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Negative impression

Ideal for 3/16 " stainless steel wire

It took 3 seconds with good pressure on the handles to smoothly cut 3/16" stainless steel wire. Nice clean cut. Very good hardening of steel blades (expected 100 cuts per sharpening). The blades can be resharpened disassembled and then carefully resharpened on a suitable bench grinder with a decent quality fine grit grinding wheel. I cannot ask for a quicker solution to my needs.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Useless features

Regardless of the product description, it will not cut 5/16 " aviation wire

I bought this because of the product description that said it could cut 5/16" aviation wire. I work in construction and have a very strong grip, but even I can't cut 5/16 cable without a cheat tube. I don't want to have two sets of cutters that I won't be using very often, but I guess I will will now because it's not worth messing around with the return. finished and I really can't say anything bad about them but if you want to cut 5/16 or more keep looking.

Pros
  • Hands-Free Operation
Cons
  • Functionality

You get what you pay for

I received mine in August 2019. I've used them from time to time, but probably more than the average layperson. Mine ran out a few weeks ago. The first dozen cuts were like butter. The jaws twisted quickly after loosening the pivot bolt. I sharpened them and they worked fine again, but that pivot bolt kept loosening no matter how hard I tightened the lock nut. Eventually the lock nut broke. And the ergonomics let us down. The way the handles come so close causes them to grip the palm of the…
