Works as expected. Not elegant but durable. I used self tapping screws instead of pre-drilling and using the screws provided.

We have been looking for the same barn latch to replace our old one. Luckily I saw this one and ordered it. Arrived on time and we are very happy with it. Good quality!

This latch makes locking barn doors easier for the top latch. It's hard enough work that I don't have to worry about it falling apart or falling apart after a light repair or cleaning. The description speaks only of swing doors, but changing the bevel on the latch is easy and takes about fifteen seconds. You can use it for swing doors. A small amount of white lithium grease on the bolt provided a secure self-locking action.

Looks good quality overall, functional but has a few issues (to be expected for the price, not fine furniture!). Fastening screws (symbolically) too small; Replace with appropriate fasteners for your application. The part holding the chain is too small and the chain may get stuck. Should probably be (dry) lubricated. A little play in the castle. The beveled tip of the latch is uneven and looks too sharp to easily close the door. For my application (barn door + rotary handle) I would like weaker

Will it work, maybe. It is what is shown in the picture.nr. I ordered it based on the picture. It is very unclear their different styles and numbering. The National has an older number that has been discontinued but is still available from Revain, and other brands or manufacturers also have other case styles ranging from round to square.
