Don't buy this junk

Worst day I've ever used a 3/4 to 1/2 adapter and it broke so I'd say 50 ft lbs is garbage and the company expects that i do all the work come back and deal with this horror product i need this adapter today. This company expects me to wait a week

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons

Cheap because power and hand tools

Cheap quality, doesn't stand up to what it was designed for. This is a 3/4 to 1/2 adapter. Use it to tighten the crankshaft front pulley bolt 27 mm. Torque was 75 FtLbs + 180 degrees. At about 160 degrees, the adapter gave up. Probably around 350-400 FtLbs of torque

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Some bugs

Not bad, but weaker than I had hoped.

For ease of use they are great. However, I did cut the adapter 1/2" at 150lb/ft of torque with a hand wrench. This should be within acceptable limits for the drive size. I'm disappointed. Be careful if you intend to use these and use them on not with an impact wrench.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • New competitors are here

The Neiko tool broke on first use. Junk

This Neiko 3/4 to 1/2 inch adapter broke the first time it was used. He was right out of the box, put on a torque wrench and tried to tighten the bolt to 250 pounds and it popped. What a mess! I will never buy Nieiko again and have bought a lot from them in the past. They get lost because there are a million tool companies.

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Poor quality and nonexistent manufacturer

Bought the product and used it twice before the 1/2 to 3/8 adapter broke in half. Checked online and the manufacturer has no website or contact. I am very disappointed that Revain is launching a product that makes no contact at all. I will never buy a NEIKO tool again. Save your money and buy from a reputable manufacturer.

Pros
  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • Expensive

They're hard to beat for the money

I suspect everyone in the reviews that clicks on the transition bits, especially the 1/2 through 3/8, over turns them. Just because you can pull 150 ft-lbs through a 3/8-inch drive with these adapters doesn't mean you should. Every semi-motor torque wrench I've ever owned has a maximum torque of about 150 ft-lbs. If you need to transfer that torque through something, you shouldn't be using a 3/8 drive or gearing. Use 1/2 inch or more and it won't break.

Pros
  • Custom power heads
Cons
  • I don't remember

Look at the picture and see for yourself. I removed the caliper bolt. If you don't know what it is, just know that it doesn't require a lot of torque. After this thing broke I switched to my little breaker and just removed the bolt with a standard adapter. Correctly. This one broke but the standard adapter was fine on 2 of the same screws. That's the problem. This is my second sentence. There was a problem in the first set when the tip twisted immediately. I thought it was a bad set. It's not…

Pros
  • Hand tool
Cons
  • Damaged
