Fun Diffuser, Messy Explosion

I wanted to like this product and read good reviews. Setting up the diffuser was easy, as was adding the ingredients. I followed the directions and used the correct portions; However, on the 3rd day, the bottle exploded. Upon closer inspection, it was found that there was a faint seam line at the bottom of the bottle where the pressure was released. Be careful when you play with cylinders, kids.

Many problems and only suitable for nano tanks.

I installed this for the first time and the solution gushed all over the pipe. Flushed and reinstalled. I noticed outgassing through the diffuser after a few hours. The next day I came home from work and the solution bubbled up through the tube into the diffuser. When I took it to clean the yeast was splattered all over. Drop it again with more yeast. It's been working for 2 days now and my dropchecker stays in the blue area. I have it in my 20 gallons. I'm so angry I wasted money and even…

If you really want to go the DIY route I would definitely recommend something else. For example, metal CO2 generators from FZONE or ZRDR. They allow integration of solenoid valves, have bubble counters and on average produce more CO2 than themselves. I used mine for a week before the diffuser broke. My diffuser seemed to be clogged, so I soaked it in bleach overnight, then soaked it in dechlorinator and placed it in the aquarium, but it still didn't diffuse properly. So I could buy a whole new…
