Well I really liked this multimeter the first two times I used it. It was a good price and worked well. The third time, I had to switch the positive wire from the right input to the left, but when I pulled it out, part of the connector remained in the multimeter jack, leaving the wire unusable. In fact, the entire device is now unusable.

I recently bought a meter from Harbor Freight and returned it because the test leads were too short. This meter worked well. I used it this weekend when replacing some outlets and installing a ceiling fan, as well as an ohmmeter to test a switch. However, I don't have to think about it now. The only thing that would be nice would be a stand to hold it.

I like this type of measuring device. Ranges can be set, which I prefer to autoranging. If I want to measure a few volts or a few kohms, it's good to know that the range won't change to millivolts or ohms on a whim. It's small but durable. I bought this to replace an almost identical unit I had for over a decade and it proved very reliable until we tried testing the resistance to earth on a wire powered at 115V! I recommend this product as the main item in the toolbox.

What a joke. I found that the box practically fell apart as soon as I took it out of the Revain envelope. At first it would turn on with a string of false numbers no matter what settings were on. Do not buy this meter. The first one I bought was defective. I am in retirement. I used the new tester in a 110 volt GFI outlet, it caught fire, smoked and melted! Bought this to upgrade my crappy Harbor Freight giveaway. The Neoteck counter looked like an upgrade and had good reviews. Works great and is bloody good value for money. I use it to test the charging system on my car and motorcycle. Alligator clips are very useful for automotive testing and many other situations where it is not possible to hold the test leads on the battery with your hands. Updated 10/15/17 The first multimeter I received blew a fuse after about a week. Luckily, Neoteck has great customer service and sent me a new meter within a few days. My new multimeter still works with my Arduino projects after constant use. I really like how your team followed me to make sure my multimeter was working properly.
