So promising, but such junk for a lot of money!

Waste of time. Netgear disappointed me again. The product description sounded so promising, but it seems so disappointing. In our house with an area of 2081 sq.m. Feet three satellites continue to drop out. I move them after this happened and they still don't stay connected. After 90 days there is no more support and the first 95 days the three devices worked perfectly. Since then only trouble. I always spend more time getting it to work than connecting to the internet! Frustrating how everyone

Just great in every way

WiFi coverage I need alone. Powerline wasn't an option and extensions were a half measure at best, so I decided to invest in a proper grid system and my research showed it might be the way to go. I took the plunge and after a month in the field I can safely say I'm thrilled. The price for a reliable Wi-Fi 6 router and two satellites is very reasonable, having multiple Ethernet ports on all three devices is great, and the ability to set separate SSIDs for the 2.4G and 5G Creating ribbons is an…

Look elsewhere! Unfortunately not worth the headache

Terrible, constant loss of connection between satellites and also often problems switching devices between routers in the house. Shows full performance and then no internet connection. Every day I have to restart all routers.

Pros
  • With 1 year limited hardware warranty
Cons
  • Style 90

Replaced by Nighthawk R8000 - what is the error

The Nighthawk R8000 is experiencing intermittent signals in my house, so I got myself decided it was time for an upgrade. My research has revealed that the MR80 Wii 6 Mesh is the best option. 2 hours after installing and updating the software I'm finally online and everything seems fine. The next day everything is in the system and everything is lagging. The TV stops in the middle to update. Laptops lose signal and now games are very slow. So much to update. I unplugged and plugged back in my…

Pros
  • Extend coverage by 2250 mΒ². ft with each additional Nighthawk Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 6 MS80 satellites (sold separately, not compatible with Orbi WiFi 6 mesh systems)
Cons
  • Good, but not great

So I got them on 6/4/21 and have been using them for 2 days now so I'm skeptical to check and update if anything changes. This replaced an Asus ROG GT-5300GTS. Setup was easy, you need to use an app. The basic setup was done in less than 5 minutes and I renamed the SSID to my old one. The router checked for a firmware update and updated it automatically (took about 5 minutes). All of my existing devices migrated with no issues/reconfiguration, so A+ for ease of use. To be honest, it was pretty…

Pros
  • Coverage of up to 6,750mΒ². ft and 40+ units
Cons
  • Very expensive

Mesh system required

Overall, this system is great for those who have at least a little knowledge of home networking. The out of the box installation was for the most part straightforward and I had the system up and running within 45 minutes. I also have a gigabit internet connection and a wired CAT 7 setup with two satellites running wireless. I wasn't expecting much since Wi-Fi 6 is a new technology, but I was surprised by the system despite reading bad reviews. I can get around 600Mbps near the router, and that…

Pros
  • Installs in minutes with the Nighthawk app; Easily manage Wi-Fi settings, test internet speeds and monitor data usage
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model
