    First remove the heat shield.

    I would give this part five stars except it sits in the most inaccessible spot. Thank you Ford! It was one of the most disappointing projects. Please include instructions on how to remove the heat shield first.

    PIA for expansion - sensors

    The part was / is excellent! Straight as it should be. The old PIA was removed on the back of the engine near the firewall (Taurus 3.0 ohv 98). But I finally bought an O2 sensor plug, replaced the sensor and all is right with the world again.

    Factory sensors in many vehicles and great design

    NTK is a division of O2 sensors of NGK. I replaced 3 out of 4 sensors in my 2005 Dodge Magnum R/T. One was too rusty to remove but the car runs great and the exhaust smell is gone. Replace the sensors every 100,000 miles to prevent damage to the catalytic converter.

    My 2009 Ford Flex 3.5L P0138, P0158, P2096 and P2098 Engine Codes and Warning Light Fixed! The car runs better and got rid of my bad exhaust smell. The front sensor was easy to swap. almost impossible to replace! A slight play in my O2 socket rounded off an old rusty hex. Found a regular socket that fitted snugly, sanded the tip of the toe to allow a full hex to engage, cut off the old O2 cable wire and a fully seated socket. Very little space for the O2 socket/sensor as it fits the frame! I…

    O2 Sensor Confusion Explained!

    There is a lot of confusion with O2 sensors! I have a Mercury Mariner 2008 v6 3.0. The photo shows the location of the banks. Bank 1 is where cylinder 1 is, which is behind bank 2, bank 2 is in front of the radiator. Going under the car the bank 2 sensor 2 is to the right of the oil filter and above that is the bank 2 sensor 1. Follow the exhaust pipe back to the bank 1 sensor 2 which is behind the oil box. but not far. Above this sensor is bank 1, sensor 1. Each bank has its own catalytic…
