The valve core could not be removed.

I couldn't get the core out of the valve. It also leaked at the top of the instrument. I've tried using it on both the high and low side multiple times. I ended up having to evacuate the system and then replace the kernel. I couldn't get the tool to work.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • When in doubt

Tight fit with no leaks, but.

There is no way to remove the valve once it has been unscrewed. I think a drop of contact cement or some other liquid rubber might help create a bit of friction in the hole where the valve pin is inserted. Otherwise this neat handy dandy tool is useless. HE and NO - as someone wrongly claimed, PRESSURE DOESN'T LEAK THE VALVE.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • thin

Not suitable for A/C tools and gear

Not suitable for my 2007 F150. After I finally unscrewed the valve, I tried to figure out why it wasn't coming out as intended, only for my hand to slip off, releasing the entire tool along with coolant everywhere. Put the tool back in to stop the spray, then realized the valve was more than a damn tool! They only work on the low pressure side, not the high pressure side. Waste of money and now all the coolant has to be drained and refilled just to fit a new damn valve. Not at all satisfied.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
