A nice option for the money, one of the best deals.

In terms of price / quality ratio, this is the absolute leader. For $100 you can get one of the best lenses for SC systems. I have both 1.4D and 1.4G fifty dollars, I know what I'm talking about. It could cost one and a half to two times more and would still be moderately popular (since one of the sharpest on the system in general). It even slightly outperforms the more expensive 1.8G, 1.4D and even 1.4G half-tones by two to three times! (but inferior at the edges of the frame). This is a…

Pros
  • This is one of the two best primes for beginner photographers (only 35 1.8G is even better for a beginner with a crop camera): - The cheapest on the system. In bu cheaper than any other fixes. Anyone can afford to buy it and check out these quality fixes of yours. - Oddly enough, one of the sharpest on the system if closed from 2.8 onwards. From f4 to about f11, the sharpness is enough to resolve even 30mp matrices. Even crops. - For normal working copies, you can shoot portraits from 1.8 - soft but quite moderately - Aperture 1.8 (light transmission, respectively, somewhere t2.0) for $100. Usually such cheap fixes already have 2.8 - Aperture ring. It will work with the cheapest macro rings or bellows without electronics inside, through cheap adapters it will fit on any bzk and even on zk kenon (newfangled G versions will not, or a special more expensive G adapter is needed). - The smallest and lightest on the system. Takes up almost no space in your bag. - Screwdriver but very smart af (because it is very light) - Very common, you can always find one at the local photo flea market - And cheap again. It is not a pity to take with you in the most cruel conditions)) - The most pop and cheap filter diameter of 52mm - FF coating - Reliable and durable. Mine is over 10 years old already, works like new and hasn't worn out much.
Cons
  • - Requires a screwdriver. Those. there will be no AF on the younger 3xxx and 5xxx carcasses. - Soft on the open. The software is not deadly but distinct. It is better to cover up to at least 2.2 - The manual focus ring is narrow and light. Manual focus leaves something to be desired compared to other options.

Expectations were not met, average quality.

I am disappointed with the purchase. I read laudatory reviews, bought for the D5000. I didn't like the lens. Yes, inexpensive, but Canon has such a lens a thousand cheaper. I don’t like the picture, it’s harsh and the bokeh is prickly. He didn't stick with me. But from Jupiter 37A - he wrote a month with boiling water. Although it is completely manual on my carcass, and it is difficult to sharpen it, the pleasure from the results is worth it.

Pros
  • Advantages? Well, they will probably be written in other comments. For me, the only advantage is its light weight and compactness.
Cons
  • Build quality is a piece of Chinese plastic. Two things I didn't like the most - 1. A noticeable backlash when focusing. 2. A noticeable force that needs to be applied to the aiming ring in order to move it from its place. Constantly there is a desire to lubricate this hellish lens. Unpleasant to hold. And yes . I also constantly catch unpleasant brown glare on it from the sun or lanterns.

A really necessary purchase, Im glad I found this product.

Of course, I need to use more, but I really like it now. Aperture 1,8 immediately came in handy - not 2,8 after all (which I have on zooms). Fix - it is a fix, but for street reporting and portraits I really liked this focal length (50 mm) on the crop. I can’t compare by the picture, because did not use either 50 / 1.4 AF or 50 / 1.4 AF-S. Why did I put ease of use - 4 - it's just uncomfortable to hold on - too small - you constantly touch the focus ring.

Pros
  • 1) Aperture 2)Price 3) Compactness
Cons
  • no built-in motor - not suitable for younger models of Nikon cameras

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing I've ever used, I recommend it to everyone!

Comrades, this is not discussed. This is a must have. Any amateur photographer should have a fix, and this is it - Nikkor 50mm 1.8. Light, bright, sharp, beautiful and not expensive. Taking pictures indoors and in low light is a pleasure. The difference in pictures after 18-105mm is enormous. Before buying, I doubted taking Nikkor 50mm 1.8 or 50mm 1.4 (Nikon or Sigma). Of course there is a difference, I don’t argue, but this difference is not the kind for which it is worth overpaying two or…

Pros
  • Cutting. Light coloured. Light. Not expensive.
Cons
  • Red price 4 with a guarantee. No lens hood included.

I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

The lens is a few days old. During this time, I managed to take several hundred shots. Carcass D90. I must say that the trick with a screwdriver works with a bang. Thought it would be worse. Fairly fast. In principle, suitable for dynamic shooting. Good luminosity. They write a lot about ugly bokeh . But somehow I didn’t notice. On various holes, a uniformly blurred background, so to speak . The pictures are quite nice. Good clarity. 1/8 is a completely working hole . just a little bit of skill

Pros
  • Price Picture Dimensions/Weight Aperture
Cons
  • Workmanship

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

purchased for D90. write: - misses. well, maybe a couple of times for a hundred frames, and then, I think, it’s not his fault, but from too much trust placed in his capabilities). the problem in my case is different, described in the shortcomings - there are cases when it cannot focus at all. - focusing slowly. may take place on any models or instances of cameras. on the D90, focusing is not much different from a lens with a motor. only for a few milliseconds) - are awarded with various…

Pros
  • I can only repeat: luminosity price metal bayonet
Cons
  • two weeks after the purchase fell by about 15 percent :) sometimes (very rarely) it cannot focus at all. there is no "stub", but if it was available and the built-in AF motor, the price would be different.

Everything in the purchase suits, a very necessary product.

Bought almost 3 years ago. I consider it Nikon's best fifty-fifty piece in terms of price / quality ratio! Now I use it on Nikon D3s. I am absolutely satisfied with the lens, autofocus on d3s is very fast for a screwdriver lens. At a fully open aperture, it is very chromatic at contrasting borders, but at the same time quite sharp. Optimal image quality is achieved at apertures from 2.8-4. I often use the lens for shooting "multi-storey" panoramas. Also great for street photography. The bokeh

Pros
  • Lightweight, compact, cheap, sharp.
Cons
  • Plastic construction.

Best thing for the money, glad I did it.

I bought it for the d7000 and I click weddings for them and love stories in parks (portraits in nature of couples), I will say one glass is SUPER! The background washes chic! But you have to choose, a lot of marriage. I chose only one out of 6. The rest with a focus is not right, they washed hard at 1.8 . 2.8 aperture. Mine is sharp at f/1.8, just crystal clear and crisp. BOKE SUPER!

Pros
  • dear drawing cutting juicy
Cons
  • No

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I definitely recommend buying, I didnt notice any disadvantages.

If you have a camera with an autofocus motor, and you want a decent picture quality for little money, then you should definitely take such a lens. He is, as they say, with character. Clear, with good colors, the picture is a bit aggressive, not for every occasion. I screwed it to the d7000. So far it makes a very positive impression. (5 kilorubles - it works out at 200%).

Pros
  • 1. Price-quality. 2. The picture is beautiful, although a little prickly. 3. Light weight 4. A good portrait on a crop, and you can use it in other genres
Cons
  • 1. Bokeh with "wrench porridge", but sometimes it's even beautiful. 2. backlash. 3. For screwdriver chambers. 4. XO, soap on aperture wider than 2.4 5. without vibration compensation

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good one.

All in all, this is a great lens. Small chromatic aberrations on open apertures are only noticeable at high magnification, so this is nonsense. The same goes for a little blur. Of course, a non-standard FR on a crop is not a drawback of the lens. The processor virtually eliminates exposure errors if you use the matrix mode on the camera. Errors in focusing, in most cases due to the cheap design of the camera screwdriver drive. On covered apertures it is very sharp, it even "rings". It makes no…

Pros
  • Aperture. Reliability. Compactness. Light. D-Processor. Sharpness. The front lens is deeply recessed, so it is not necessary to use a filter protector.
Cons
  • Doesn't have a motor. At a wide open aperture, chromatic aberrations are quite noticeable when shooting contrasting objects. Occasional errors in focus.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great quality, did not expect at all for the price.

I took it in pair with the D90, the "screwdriver" allowed me to save 4 thousand on the version with a motor. Bribed price and hole 1.8. In general, I am satisfied, sharpness, aperture ratio (for the money). As an addition to a dark and inexpensive zoom like the native 18-105 is quite suitable. Just keep in mind that handling this thing requires slowness and patience because it focuses slowly.

Pros
  • Price, luminosity.
Cons
  • It focuses for a long time, although this may be due to the lack of a motor, which is an inapplicable fee for a low price. There are a lot of defective shots, but over time you get used to playing it safe and taking a few shots of especially important moments. Sharpness at 1.8 is not always optimal.

This cannot be ordered! You have to come to the store and choose a copy without back and front focus. There are problems with this. Personally, mine gives a front of 5mm, but I decided that it was not scary, besides, it was the best of the 5 tested in the store. The aperture blades are not rounded, which is why at 2.8, for example, the bokeh will be hexagons. Specific, but I can not attribute it to the shortcomings. At 1.8, you need to focus with your hands, or 'wisely' or better 2 in 1. It…

Pros
  • Damn sharp (2.8-11). Small sizes.
Cons
  • Due to the lack of a motor, the autofocus of the camera is buzzing. Inconvenient focus ring.

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

I shoot it on Nikon D90, I practically don’t shoot it, I really like working with it at night - it’s painfully chic stars that turn out when you close the aperture to 8-9. This is a must have. This lens is quite a budget ticket to the world of excellent optics! I recommend it! Below I am attaching photographs from this lens, the mountain ash was shot at a fully open aperture

Pros
  • - Aperture -Sharp already from 1.8 -Fast focusing, despite the fact that the lens is "screwdriver" - Cool stars when shooting at night -Deep recessed front lens - Excellent color reproduction -Metal bayonet - Lightweight and compact - put it in your pocket, but you don't even feel it
Cons
  • The bundle would be richer - at least they put a cover .

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very pleased with this purchase, will recommend it to everyone!

Bokeh has a fickle character, plastic, but generally quite nervous, with impulsive strokes that can be more disturbing or more calm, soft, but not without some dynamism - depending on the degree of diaphragm closure. At 1.8 blurs the background well. Thus, the photographer gets a rather powerful, if skillfully used, expressive tool that can emphasize the idea of the frame (if any). Thoughtless use of the lens, especially in inappropriate scenes, can be frustrating and irritating. Due to its…

Pros
  • Lightweight and sharp. Sharpness at 4-5.6 is very high, above 2.0 it is quite sufficient. At the maximum opening of the diaphragm, a fairly clear, but plastic picture. High contrast and excellent color reproduction. At the same time, despite the overall sharpness (medium and large-radius details), the resolution of the thinnest lines seemed insufficient to me, this factor can be critical where they need to be worked out. The price / quality ratio is the highest possible for an autofocus lens. In terms of sharpness and blur, there are a lot of different good lenses from previous years of production at a similar price today, but they are all manual.
Cons
  • Disadvantages are the reverse side of the advantages that the scheme of this lens gives. Uneven sharpness across the field of the frame, maximum in the center, then a significant drop to the periphery even at closed apertures. The already noted weakness in the transfer of the most subtle details. The drawing in the sharpness zone is quite simple and rough, not for any plot. However, despite its specificity, it can be used for artistic purposes, because it has a distinct mood. Chromatic aberrations are slightly above average, but for most scenes their effect on the picture is either negligible or not detectable at all. In fact, when using XA correction and vignetting in the camera or in a raw converter, this factor does not matter.

Very high quality product, it's not the first time I bought it.

I read all the reviews and bought it: experienced photographers themselves know everything, so comments for beginners)) - if a camera without a "screwdriver" is possible, but I don’t recommend it, it’s difficult to catch sharpness by hand, and it’s annoying) it shoots very nice! on the machine it turns out very beautifully, but imagine you yourself taking pictures . in general there will be a masterpiece!) negative reviews are either not about this lens, or people are a little greedy! don’t…

Pros
  • maximum price-quality ratio! this applies to both the product and the photographs
Cons
  • only one is the need for the camera to have a built-in autofocus motor!

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The right product for me, there were no problems.

Only 5 times they were photographed and they came to a consensus - they bought it in vain (((Unanimously, no one likes bokeh in photographs, everyone wants to see the depth of field. In the kitchen I tried to take a photo of how 3 cats eat, climbed as much as on a stool in the far corner and all the same, the tails did not fit in. By the time I was changing the lens, they had already eaten. The company at the table is also inconvenient to photograph. then they do not enter the frame and have…

Pros
  • Aperture is enough to take pictures in the apartment without a flash. Price.
Cons
  • Small, fotik 7100 loses its solidity with it. looks awkward.

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I expected more from buying, but not the worst option.

Bought in USA, made in China. In general, a good lens, but I still don’t understand why it soaps so much on open holes. The picture is just disgusting. The working hole starts at 2.8, that is, compared to the maximum 1.8, you need to close the aperture by 3 steps. I did not compare it with other fifty dollars, but even at a price it is an order of magnitude more expensive than the Kenon counterpart with similar or worse quality. Why pay for a brand? already looking at kenon or pentax for the…

Pros
  • nice bokeh high aperture type great alternative to whale good as a reporter
Cons
  • very soapy on open holes (working aperture 2.8) quite noisy cheap white rear lens cap included very poor focus in the dark flimsy constructive overcharge

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beyond praise! The product definitely deserves your attention.

I bought it just a week ago, so there was little practice. But over this short period, the lens coped with the task. It works very well in a pair of NIKON D90, fast and accurate, at a sensitivity of 1.8, the sharpness is of course rather weak, but for portraits it gives its own zest. From the value 2.5 the picture is sharp. I personally bought it for everyday household shooting, and I am 100% satisfied with it, maybe later I will understand what I am missing. I recommend it to beginner amateur…

Pros
  • Compact, lightweight, high-aperture, inexpensive lens.
Cons
  • In principle, I did not find it, but it is worth noting that it is difficult to rent in our small apartments, a fix is a fix.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

- An excellent lens for every day for a full-frame camera (FX), the camera with it becomes smaller, lighter, more convenient and, as a result, is often with you)) - Clarity starts from f/2.2; At f / 5.6, the clarity is as if a piece of the world was stuffed into the scanner. At f / 1.8 it is the same clear, but in the DX area. Contrast and saturation drop after f/16, you can shoot at f/22, but in extreme and special cases. - Autofocus on the D700 is very fast and does NOT miss in any light…

Pros
  • Aperture, clarity, color reproduction, autofocus, weight, size
Cons
  • autofocus will only work on cameras with a screwdriver (camera built-in motor)

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Wonderful quality, one hundred percent satisfied!

Unless you're the unfortunate owner of one of the smaller, screwdriverless cameras, don't worry about buying an af-s-th fifty. Due to its compactness, this non-motorized one focuses just as quickly and accurately, but is much more versatile for both macro and film, and it also costs less than the motorized version, moreover. If you are completely new and want to finally take the first fix in addition to the annoying whale zoom - take this one, there is nothing to think about. For this money…

Pros
  • - Price-quality ratio; - For my taste, a very pleasant pattern and bokeh; - Compact, with a light block of movable lenses, which is why a screwdriver of any, even relatively cheap carcasses (where it is, of course) copes with focusing no slower and no worse than the built-in motor in af-s versions of fifty dollars; - He's not G-type, ie. it DOES have an aperture ring, and yes, I consider this a serious plus, because firstly, you can put the lens on classic film bodies (such as FE, FE2, FM, FM2, FM3a and a number of others) and through a special small window above the main field of the viewfinder you will see the aperture numbers printed on the ring in analog representation. Secondly, you can use a lens with non-chip macro rings or bellows (as opposed to the same half-length G). Thirdly - what the hell is not joking! - easily put it through an adapter on an enemy Kenon carcass, and if your adapter is cheap and not chipped, again you can change the value of the hole mechanically.
Cons
  • - Someone complains about the slight effect of "nuts" in the bokeh, which, of course, sometimes takes place. But as someone correctly put it, it would cost 5 times more, and its bokeh would not be called "nuts", but "a characteristic pattern for connoisseurs." I agree 100% - no need to invent reasons for stress from scratch. If you don’t look at the tests, but just shoot them, you won’t notice any nuts in real life on real plots; - Smoother case than older brothers, easy to leave a noticeable scratch. Corrugated cases with a large texture are certainly better in this sense. Otherwise, the plastic construction does not hover at all and does not affect the quality of the pictures.
