Very high quality product, it's not the first time I bought it.

For various reasons, 4 copies of this lens passed through me. Experience in total - more than 5 years. The carcasses on which he worked for me: d90, d300s (two copies), d7000, d800. Yes, I have it on staff. And I'm the same person who can "zoom with his feet", and I also have enough of its width in the room. He does not have a hood, but there is no need for it either. So this is not a plus, not a minus, just a fact. With non-crooked hands, you can learn to catch their focus in the back on a…

Pros
  • 1. Value for money 2. Geometry - no barrels, no pillows, everything is even 3. Sharpness at 2.0 is excellent, at 1.8 - quite so 4. Weight-size 5. Filter diameter is not huge and non-standard 6. When interacting with the outbreak, no problems were identified.
Cons
  • 1. Well, this is D-shnaya optics, so the blocking aperture ring sometimes flies off, the ring turns, the carcass writes ERR

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

everyone compares it with 1.4, which constantly wins, but in fact, sometimes 1.8 wins it (in terms of speed and some backlight conditions)! before, the choice was obvious = 1,8, but today they are very close to 1,4 in price, so it might really be worth taking 1,4 as the first lens, but if you already have 1,8, you should not change the awl for soap and shoot at 50 f1.8

Pros
  • 1. budget fast aperture fix - what more could you want)) 2. the background lathers well 3. focusing speed is very good 4. the size is not large, so it even fits into your pocket easily 5. strong enough - I didn’t hit it on purpose, but it holds an accidental blow))) and the metal mount speaks of reliability and quality!
Cons
  • yes, and there aren't even any 1. at the maximum aperture, sometimes it does not give sharpness at all (so it’s better not to use it at 1.8, and the working aperture is somewhere around 2.2 2. with backlight, strong chromatic aberration is visible (but where without it?)

Everything about the purchase suits me, a very necessary product.

The lens was bought, I will not hide it, for its price - 4K money in total. Competitor 1.4D cost 2.5 times more, and the new 1.4G cost 4 times more. Lives on D700. I tried it "for starters" to decide on further needs and . perhaps I won't change it. Maybe - on the older 1.4D, but only because of the better design (less plastic). Comparing them directly gives reason to believe that they are equivalent in terms of image quality: equally low distortion and aberration, equally low "hares", the…

Pros
  • - lightness; - build quality; - photo quality; - excellent speed (on older carcasses); - price!
Cons
  • - change in length when focusing (and vacuuming); - uncomfortable (the outer large focus ring crawls during AF); - leaky; - sharpness from 2.8 and higher; - coma, especially at the edges of the frame at an open aperture.

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

I bought a new one for 3700r, for such an amount the lens is gorgeous, it focuses quickly, a good picture for this money, nice bokeh, but up to 2.8 it lathers a lot, but since it costs a penny, it’s forgivable. Due to its structure, 1.8D on cropped cameras with large contrast in the frame gives out a blue circle in the middle of the frame, the more the aperture is closed, the better this circle becomes visible, it becomes denser, but smaller. It becomes well noticeable with F \ 8, but this is…

Pros
  • Price, picture quality, build quality.
Cons
  • up to 2.8 soap and read one more in the comments.

A really necessary purchase, I'm glad I found this product.

The lens is "friendly" with any Nikon digital SLR camera with a nikon F mount, that is, on both younger and older DX cameras, in any case, you get both exposure metering and other semi- and automatic shooting modes, but you need to focus on younger cameras handles. I don't consider this a disadvantage. 1.8 working, I would say that a lens with a search is sharp for a fifty dollars, or maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but it's quite possible to catch something in focus in LV from a monitor, and

Pros
  • Lightweight and compact Small filter diameter 52mm Smooth focus ring
Cons
  • Sometimes it may not please bokeh with "nuts" and "scales", this does not always appear and not under all shooting conditions. 7 aperture blades, well, at least not 5 .

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Full compliance with the manufacturer's assurances, high quality.

I bought it for myself 2 months after buying the camera. As a beginner who has previously shot only with ultrasonics and soap dishes, I will say that the lens is magnificent! In skillful hands, you can get great shots, and a beginner will be able to learn well from it, and, perhaps, even continue to shoot with it, if there is no urgent desire to get an even faster fix.) Having bought it and put it on the camera, the whale 18-55 was practically not used further (only if when autofocus is…

Pros
  • - Small. - The focus wheel rotates easily. - Aperture! - The bokeh is beautiful. - Price (I bought for 4000).
Cons
  • - It's hard enough to achieve sharpness at maximum aperture, but these are most likely my crooked hands.)

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is good, there are only a few minor flaws.

To the full, very much even to myself such a FIX from NIKKOR ! which you need to have in your arsenal, especially for those who need money)). Makes you see the "photo" in all its glory and remember the b/w film in "SMENE-6(8M)"! It will immediately become clear what aperture (f) and shutter speed (ISO) are. Cramped in the Soviet "Khrushchev" (this is not a drawback, this is a feature of its FR). When buying, I strongly recommend checking for B / F focus and all sorts of perspective distortions.

Pros
  • I use it on the D90 - I am more than satisfied with the result! A small, light, iron mount, the lens is deeply recessed into the inside of the UV filter is not needed, it focuses very quickly and accurately on a screwdriver (my copy is clearly in the depth of field even under fluorescent lighting and with a flash). PRICE! Does not chromate (not counting f1.8), perspective distortions are invisible. VERY SHARP, already ringing (from f2.2 and above)! Quite easily and accurately controlled in manual mode, no matter what they write here . Very even a portrait portrait !
Cons
  • On the crop (FR-75mm) it is quite difficult to achieve sharpness at f 1.8-2.2, there is a small backlash in the lens that moves out when focusing, is afraid of the dark, it goes completely blind)), "bolts" in BOKE at f3.5 and higher against a contrasting background, small corner, not macro at all (without rings), meager equipment, not even a manual (well, this is more likely for especially beginners) . but the rest is nitpicking. Well, made in CHINA, sorry, but the quality is adequately assembled, albeit plastic.

A high-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

I bought to shoot a baby, without a flash. From the flash, they have a clouding of the lens and other troubles. So, in order not to write too much: I also thought that his sharpness starts from aperture 4, etc. Nothing like that. It was just necessary to adjust the back focus in the fotik. The fact is that at aperture 1.8 there is a very shallow depth of field, and the slightest mistake leads to blurring. Now everything is fine at 1.8. So, before scolding, check your camera + lens combination…

Pros
  • Price, aperture, sharpness.
Cons
  • If you adjust the camera, then they will not be.

Great product, a pleasure to use.

An excellent lens, I think that all beginners should have it. Allows you to feel the difference between a dark whale lens (18-55). It is convenient to take with you, does not lead to dark rooms, allows you to set ISO 800 without particularly noticeable noise. almost as good as its older brother af-s nikkor 50 / 1.4, and the difference in money is decent. Gives the most beautiful bokeh with low depth of field.

Pros
  • Aperture! Great price, compactness, color reproduction. Compatible with semi-professional carcasses.
Cons
  • what could be the disadvantages, what are you talking about?) Even chromatic aberration is not noticed (Nikon D80).

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The product can be used, I expected a little more.

It makes no sense to buy on a crop - an inconvenient focal length. The picture is nicer at full frame, but the AF50 f/1.4 is still better. On younger carcasses, by the way, autofocus will not work. True, the low price allows you to buy and try it yourself. In the end, fast glass in the economy will not be superfluous. Oh yes, another advantage - the lens does not need a hood, the front lens sits very deep.

Pros
  • Low price, high luminosity, small size and weight, standard filter thread diameter - 52mm
Cons
  • Plastic, the picture is rubbish.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am delighted, the product is really worthy.

I bought to shoot a child, before that the d60 didn’t shoot much, I liked the pictures, I got involved. Of course, there are more expensive ones and with a motor, but it’s better to aim manually, because. firstly, there is a rangefinder and eyes, and secondly, you choose the focus point yourself. I tried to shoot them on the d90 with autofocus - I like the result less. IMHO it is with such a lens that it becomes clear what a DSLR is capable of. Excellent purchase!

Pros
  • Excellent colors, aperture ratio, ridiculous price, sharpness.
Cons
  • The lack of a motor (on the d60 you need to aim manually), too little weight - the camera is poorly balanced in the hands, a frivolous appearance.

It's the best purchase I ever made, I will definitely do it again.

A great way to look at the world of photography with different eyes for little money. $150 is a normal price, excellent value for money. Worth every penny invested. After the whale 18-105, you have to reconsider the capabilities of the camera for the better. Works on a screwdriver (D7000) quickly, clearly and silently. The purchase is completely satisfied.

Pros
  • I got up perfectly on the D7000. Fast focus. Great drawing. Working 1.8. A combination of lightness and strength. Quiet operation from a screwdriver.
Cons
  • There are no shortcomings, well, if only the equipment could be richer (no hood, no cover).

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A wonderful product, its nice to use.

According to statistics, this lens is overwhelmingly the first on the camera after the whale, and I am no exception! In comparison with the "whale", this lens, with skillful use, allows you to make portraits on the street of a sufficiently high quality, incomparable with the "whale". Due to the stronger blurring of the background, it gives the photo a volume, which is more important in the "street" portrait, even the light is inferior to it in importance (in the studio, on the contrary). A…

Pros
  • - Worth a penny. - Excellent autofocus, fast, accurate, tenacious, but relatively loud. - Metal mount, which is a rarity on "entry" level lenses. - Thanks to the front lens recessed into the body, no hood and protective filter are needed.
Cons
  • - The rough bokeh that appears depending on the scene (part of the image in the blur zone) is a very significant drawback and one of the main differences from 50 / 1.4! - f1.8 - f2.2 are practically not working. - Quite a strong buzz of the autofocus motor, when compared with the "silent" ultrasonic. - Lack of autofocus on younger Nikon models.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The purchase brought only positive emotions.

This is the second "fifty dollars" that passed through my hands. the first was a "Chinese" . I almost got disappointed . I spat and swore at what the world was worth . no sharpness, no focus . all dangling, although it was still new (less than 2 years old). In the ads I came across the same, advanced age, but "Japanese". The very first five or ten test shots and I fell in love with it . I didn’t notice a big difference in image sharpness compared to 18-105. Just beautiful bokeh in portrait…

Pros
  • Lightweight, good design, beautiful pattern, nice bokeh. Sharp somewhere from aperture 2.2. Great portrait lens. Good autofocus (works for me on the D-90) Perfectly enough aperture for shooting indoors in the evening, with relatively low light. Super-glass for its price. I bought it from my hands for 4500.
Cons
  • Aperture 1.8 working with a big stretch. On it, the pictures are a little soapy. Too "soft" . although, when shooting portraits, this cannot be called a disadvantage. Perfectly masks irregularities and skin defects. 50 mm (on a 75 crop) create little problems when shooting in a limited space (for example, a small room). But, these are not even shortcomings, but probably just design features.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beyond praise! The product definitely deserves your attention.

Everyone writes about ugly chopped bokeh. I don't know, I really like bokeh. If you do not engage in photo-onanism and do not examine the pictures pixel by pixel, then you will never notice the so-called "nuts" in your photos. I don’t understand those people who attribute the lack of a built-in focus motor to the disadvantages. This is a technical feature of this lens. The same thing, if we attribute the disadvantage of a manual gearbox of a car, instead of an automatic one. Carefully read the

Pros
  • -Price -Beautiful bokeh -Very serious sharpness at 2.8 and above -Fast focus -Ease
Cons
  • -Build quality (it's not perfect, but it's quite good, but since I need to point out all the cons, I'll write it as it is). -XA on the open when shooting contrasting objects

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A normal product, but they wanted more for the money.

Didn't like the lens. Maybe he gives a good picture when he hits the target (and this does not always happen even on the top-end Nikon D750), but working with him is simply unpleasant. Firstly, when focusing, the lens makes a very nasty and loud noise, constantly idling the focus back and forth, while slowing down in extreme positions with some kind of bumps and pops. Focus is slow and often misses - somewhere in 1 case out of 10 (whale 24-120 F4 probably misses 1 out of 200). Thus, as a light…

Pros
  • - weight and dimensions - price (relatively) - Good sharpness and picture quality
Cons
  • - very noisy - looks and feels tactile Chinese sleaze - poor autofocus - when focusing, the focus ring rotates - large minimum focusing distance

I am very happy with this purchase, I will advise everyone!

It was bought by a second lens for a whale 18-105, on D90 for a specific purpose - macro photography. An additional set of macro rings without lenses was purchased, that is, focusing in the full manual. I must say, my expectations were fully justified! The background is blurred to a wadded uniform state, I saw this only on expensive macro lenses with a cost that is not compatible with such a ridiculous price - 3900 glass is new in the store and a set of rings for 900. If you get into focus…

Pros
  • light, compact, convenient, metal mount, fast, price, autofocus works silently and quickly, good sharpness, excellent color reproduction
Cons
  • For this price they just don't exist.
