Originally bought for my truck if you remove the screws from the back and try to disassemble it to actually install it the connectors are so tight you end up with the wires coming out pull the fittings and the 12V socket falls apart. Luckily I had a spare plug and cable to reassemble and reconnect. Instead of my truck I decided to build a battery box. After I reconnected the 12 volts it seems to be working fine.

You will definitely need to make your own cable connections as the cables provided are useless. I cut it up and connected some jumpers to jump from connector to connector. The on/off switch is in the opposite direction compared to most switches. Normally, pressing the lighted part of the button turns the light on, and pressing the non-lighted part of the button turns it off. It works exactly the opposite. This product was all I needed for my 2005 Chevy Cavalier but I was disappointed to get this product with green LEDs instead of blue could. You can see the radio I'm using already had a red backlight and I think it would be better if I could find it red. In my case I had to do a little work to fit it but I received the correct product on time and it is still working today. That's my only criticism of this one, I found one in blue and green but not red and white, would be interesting to see too.

The product contains everything you need. I removed all of the individual pieces and placed them in my own piece of aluminum with a diamond plate from Home Depot. I used a step drill to drill the holes. Added a 15A fuse for the 12V circuit. Leave individual backups for three devices.
