i like it for the wrong reason

I buy these cups as a stress ball. I'll be playing this Switch regularly throughout the day. It's damn fun. If you are looking for something to while away the time, this is the product for you!

Pros
  • cool item
Cons
  • damaged

Short Life: Switches

I installed the product and in less than 3 months something broke in the switch. It doesn't turn on and off, no clicking or any noise, the toggle switch just swings from side to side. Replaced it with another brand last week.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Hard to say

Not sturdy-cheap

The clamps with their light screws should have been my first cheap guess. As I was screwing the first wire to the terminal, the terminal fell off the switch. The extension of the rivet between the contact and the clamp was "glued" poorly, which allowed the clamp to come loose.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • I'll add later

HIGH RESISTANCE, NOT USED

CONS - High resistance switch contacts: 1 to 2000 ohms. Failed disastrously in my design - Cheap threaded connections. Minimal design. - Spent 8 hours diagnosing three switches and replacing them with a better version. PROS - Cheap - made me realize that I shouldn't use cheap junk in mission critical applications.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Useless features

quality product! on spare parts

It looks like a very high quality product. The only issue with my purchase was that they are not dpdt snap action switches. (My fault I didn't realize it when I bought it) I even considered keeping them just for the sake of having them. They were great for the price and a quality product, I just haven't used them and needed a replacement immediately. Sent back for a refund.

Pros
  • certified
Cons
  • boring packaging

Great little switch for turning on our garage fridge.

Great little switch to turn your garage fridge on and off depending on the season. This switch is SPST as described. It attaches securely with a simple round hole; Some other switches have an oblong or rectangular shape that is difficult to cut. The throw is very positive, so I don't feel like it's switched accidentally. The box and connections aren't very deep, so I was able to install it onto an existing control box without much fuss about other things inside.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

This is a great switch

Sturdy and feels good quality. Operation under difficult conditions. And beautiful to look at! With so many cheap and ugly switches on the market, it's good to have one available that you don't need to hide. The vintage look blends perfectly with your classic dashboard or anywhere else with high visibility. I hooked mine up to run a manual electric assist fan in my '57 Ford and so far it has served me very well on a 2600 mile tour of the desert. Really good value for money too, at this price I…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Fragile design, unacceptably high internal resistance

I ordered these switches to be able to reverse a small, low current 12VDC motor. After installing two of them on a plastic box, I proceeded to connect solid 14ga wire to their screw terminals. Some of the terminals were poorly secured to the switch's plastic body and twisted back and forth when I tightened the terminal screws. Then I started checking the internal resistance of the switches. This resistance was unacceptably high. Some were as high as 23 ohms and many were in the 7 to 15 ohm…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Garbage. And EXACTLY why

Interestingly, the switches are very well made, except for TWO key parts that junk everything. The problem is the tiny Bakelite-like coated springs that press against the rocker arms. These micro parts are very weak, the plastic cracks and/or breaks off and now the spring is trying to ride right onto the seesaw. A few more clicks of the switch and the spring will flex and lock the switch. When things go really bad, the spring can bend to the other pole and create an arc or a complete short…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
