I love this little pole but there are a few things I want to know before buying. There is a license plate holder. However, this is easily corrected with a few careful measurements and an electric drill. I ended up installing mine behind a bracket after drilling two precisely spaced 1/4" holes. Easy to fit if you only want to use the number plate holes. In my case, it's an older Subaru, so I didn't worry about cosmetics underneath. I removed the bumper because of the 3-4 inches of foam between the plastic and the structural part of the bumper. I cut out some foam and added 2 pieces of 2x2 square tubing and welded them to the car, then threaded the bolts through the brace and attached them to the frame using the tubing as a spacer to add rigidity.
