The best jelly in the state!

They make it easier to strain berries to make jelly. A few years ago I competed in the state show and won Best in Class, Best in Class, Best in Show and the C&H Sugar Awards. These packets make the jelly very clear with repeated straining. Thanks for more Lisa

Can't ask for more/better

I bought these at the last minute after ordering a synthetic Psycho off eBay (which never arrived). Turns out it does a GREAT job of making almond and coconut milk, rinses well and dries well for reuse. They're pretty big too. Totally natural, eco-friendly materials. I'm glad I made this purchase.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Big and bulky

It's probably worth it. - Kitchen utensils and gadgets

Probably should have bought a stand. I've used them with my chinos, which work well, I just can't use both at the same time. I thought I checked the dimensions and was disappointed that they were shorter than expected. My jelly came out nice and clear although they seemed very good. They are easier to use than layers of gauze.

Great replacement for my old jelly bags

Moving and unpacking my jelly bags I found that the material had deteriorated and they were unusable. However, the metal bag holder was in perfect condition. I didn't want to buy a whole jelly strainer set, so I took a chance and bought these packs. They are perfect for the jelly bag stand. I've used them to make crystal clear sifted jelly.

Makes the smoothest almond milk ever!

To be honest I thought it was a waste of money. BUT! I was wrong! I made cheesecloth for my almond milk and while it worked, it still wasn't smooth and silky enough. I finally decided to spend money on this and how glad I am that I did! After pouring my blended milk into the pouch above the bowl, I gather the top, invert it a bit and start squeezing lightly, the end product is silky smooth with no grain and I end up with the driest almond paste I've ever had too added to any muffin or quick…

Strain the juice, juicer.

I use my juicer every day. Mostly green. I have a good juicer but there is always some pulp and I just prefer straight juice. So I bought these jelly strainers, put them in a 2-cup glass measuring cup, and poured juice in. I keep my hands clean and just squeeze the juice into a measuring cup. I get chunks of pulp out of my juice and a quick hot water rinse keeps the pouch clean between washes (always organic soap). This is an important "trick" for everyday, easy juicing when you don't like…

Reloaded for carrot pulp!

Let me start by saying there is no jam anywhere in my house, we don't make jam! These jelly bags are ideal for squeezing liquid from veg into the "dry" outlet of our juicer. Since there is always too much liquid left in the pulp, we don't throw the pulp away, we put it in the jelly to maximize the juice yield. This liquid is so rich in nutrients that there is no point in wasting it. After the first pressing, the pulp is put into a blender with some reverse osmosis water and processed into more…

Perfect for nut milk

I bought these bags to make nut milk instead of nylon bags. My idea is that if I want to use plastic to filter homemade milk, I can just buy it at the store. Not only do these cotton bags work great, but they cost a fraction of the price of other bags. The disadvantage is that the seams cannot withstand too much compression. I haven't had a single tear yet, but it looks like they won't last as long as a nylon bag. But at this price I can't complain. This is MUCH easier than using cheesecloth to
