Very good cheap PLA

I had mixed experiences with cheap PLA from China, but this one really won me over. The orange color is a very pleasant orange. It prints very well on my very old 3D printer, but I haven't picked the best settings for it yet; I need to work on the retraction (a little more) and the heat (a little less), but while I feel like they're not perfect, I was still able to get some amazing casts. I 3D printed the bank that everyone always seems to print along with the Raspberry PI case. The material…

Pros
  • 3D printing filament
Cons
  • boring packaging

Prints well with some prints

I have my own CR-10S based printer (nothing else is original). Running 32-bit SKR-Pro, fine-tuned Marlin 2.0, TMC2209 drivers at 128 steps. It was cast with regular PLA. Been doing this for a while xD - This thread is GREAT if you're printing simple models with little detail. The clogging problem (it's only happened twice) comes when you start creating highly detailed models that require a lot of retraction. Unless it is just a puller, do not use a puller with this thread when you switch layers

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.

3D Printing Consumables

For context: I'm a fairly experienced 3D printer. I think 80% of people's "problems" with PLA filament are simply user error. PLA is such an easy material to print that it rarely causes the most printing problems. I find this is very basic, mostly prototyping stuff for me so I don't have high expectations for PLA. But gosh, this thread was such a joke. CRATE. This is literally what it looked like when I opened it up before using it. As amazing as it is, this is just a budget PLA from Amazon…
