Works as expected: Network products

Some argue that these antennas are not suitable for the frequency of the 900s. That's not exact, they work fine at these frequencies.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Periodicity

Not for 900MHz or 915MHz

Not for 900/915MHz. This antenna has a good SWR of 1.16 at 2.30 GHz. There are also two other low points where the SWR drops below 2. The first point is at 1.330 GHz, where the SWR is 1.84. Second place is at 840MHz, where the SWR is 1.88. At the specified frequency of 915 MHz, however, the SWR is a very poor 3.4.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Requires socket

Terrible SWR for computers and accessories

The SWR is terrible - I immediately put it on the SWR meter. From 136 MHz to 1320 MHz, the SWR was above the upper limit of the meter; no sign of failure even at 915 MHz. Absolutely useless.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Some difficulties

This is NOT a 915MHz antenna!

As the screenshot shows, the SWR of this antenna is 2.3 at 900MHz (15.5% signal loss) and then increases to 2.7 (21% signal loss) at 916MHz.

Pros
  • Wide Range
Cons
  • Much

The antenna meter indicates this is a reasonably good Wi-Fi antenna (2.4GHz) with minimal roll off at 850MHz (S11 = -10dB). It's clearly not designed for 900 or 915 MHz. At 915MHz I see SWR = 3.6 and S11 = -4.9dB which is not much. Perhaps it can be used in the same way that any random wire is "good" under certain conditions. It could possibly have 5dbi gain for Wi-Fi, but clearly not at 915MHz or anything.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Approximately
