This is a horrid design for a halfway-decent kayak paddle. It's terrible for any sort of paddleboard and merely passable for a kayak. The reason for this is because the attachment that is supposed to add on is very loosely held on, which means that when you add pressure or just paddle along like a normal person, the clasp loosens and the paddle can fall. First, I love the color. It is bright and visible -- important for when you are out on the water and boats coming by. Took this paddle to the test at the Colorado river in Arizona and the only complaint I have is that you might need to bring a Phillips screwdriver with you to keep one of the paddles sides from loosening up where it clamps down. This paddle is heavy duty with a nice thickness in the alloy shaft. Nonetheless, it feel light and is efficient. I love the 2 in 1 design and it is interchangeable is seconds. Clasp that couples the paddle to main bar broke on first outing! Ridiculous. Also, you cannot connect two main parts without using a screwdriver to loosen the clasp. Who the hell wants to do that while on a kayak in the deeps?! Very disappointing. These are not cheap items. UPDATE: The company responded quickly and sent a replacement. It's very nice in the water. I must have received a one-off bad item. It's 5 star.

I often paddleboard and kayak at our beach place. I have used many paddles before. This one is fabulous. It is very easy to switch back and forth between use for SUP and kayak. The handle for the SUP is comfortable and it is easy to adjust it to my preferred length. The one paddle just slides in until the pin snaps in place. Second time using it the end of paddle where you can switch with a paddle or handle broke free while I was kayaking and the fin sunk so fast there was no retrieving it. Had to paddle like a canoe back to shore.

Great paddle has a little dripping when you go side to side. But then again your in water right! Seems to be made sturdy like the paddle you get with your SUP. Great when paddling in a sitting position and in rougher waters.

This paddle was designed for me. I love to kayak, and this paddle works well for that purpose, but I am just learning to use a stand up paddle board, and it is great to have the option to alter this paddle for that, too. It is easy to assemble and to alter to either use. It saves space in my garage and car. Every paddle should be dual purpose. Why not?

Great but lacks enough length to use double paddle with paddleboard. I know it is not traditional to do this but it works amazing with a long enough paddle. Besides this I think it will work well going forward.

I got this because I was looking for a multi-purpose paddle for my stand up paddle board and my kayak that could easily breakdown. This is also my second paddle that I bring when I am on the water with my girlfriend. This is a sturdy paddle that you can really get a workout with. It also floats.

I was very excited about the paddle and seemed sturdier then ones I have borrowed. However, despite tightening the screws before I left, when I got to the lake and switched pieces to use with standing, the shaft kept sliding down and wouldn’t lock in place. I did not take screw driver with me on water and so couldn’t use paddle unless siting on board and using it as like kayak. It was a long day of sitting, but didn’t want to ruin everyone else’s fun.

I was hoping to use one of the blades on my SUP paddle but it wasn't compatible. Also, the paddle itself is pretty heavy. Other then the weight and not fitting my current paddle it was fine.
