🍷 Wine Cooler with Freezer Inserts: Keeping Your Drinks Chilled and Ready to Serve with Oggi Review

I've never been disappointed with the recommendations from the PBS show America's Test Kitchen and I love that you can always find products on Revain. Their tests show that after 7 hours the wine only loses 10°. I only keep a bottle in it for about an hour during dinner and it stays cold in the fridge. The bags are flimsy, freeze quickly, and take up little space in the freezer, so that's where I keep them. The bottle stays dry and clean even compared to ice. Well made and looks great too.

Love this cooler, built it into my end table to keep my sake cool. It does an excellent job of maintaining the temperature for the hour or two it takes to fill a bottle. It's clear I'm not asking much of him, but under the circumstances he's excellent. It works way better than the old ice bucket I used, no need to keep a towel handy to wipe the bottle down with every pour, no mess, no fuss. For those of you just trying to keep a bottle of wine warm while you sip it, this is a great solution.

This cooler is attractive and lightweight. Ice packs are small and easily fit in the freezer. And it does a decent job of chilling your wine. But it won't "cool" a bottle of wine. Only cools a cold bottle for a short time. Long enough to enjoy the hot tub I bought it for. Manufacturers missed the mark by not making the ice packs thicker to make them last longer and filling the large air gap in the cooler. It may be plastic, but it says "stainless steel" at the bottom. The bucket has 4 thin plastic inserts that you freeze in the freezer. I bought this over a month ago and finally tried it. It did exactly what I wanted, which was to keep my wine cool on my patio (screened from the pool) on a hot Florida summer evening! After seeing comparison results and performance tests on the TV show America's Test Kitchen, where the Oggi bucket was named the "winner", I decided to put it through my personal performance test; It keeps a bottle of wine cold for a reasonable amount of time.
