I received this flashlight and was so impressed I decided to order another one. On my first dive with this light I picked up a spare light as I was unfamiliar with the brand. The batteries charged fairly quickly and after an hour of diving it was as bright as when you first turned it on. I was above me which meant natural light was very limited and that light was extremely bright allowing me to see my surroundings well. This is an amazing dive light; it is not only very convenient to use, but also extremely powerful. Last weekend I went diving at Jeannie Spring for my birthday and took two dive lights with me to make sure I wasn't having any issues or running out of battery but the upgraded version of the ORCATORCH D550 was more than enough for the trip. . Updated: I finally have the ability to use a flashlight on a dive where a flashlight was needed. I live in Florida, it's hurricane season and my last few lobster and night dives have been canceled due to hurricane related weather off our shores. maybe 7' at best. Update: Took it on a night dive to test it. That's about what I expected from the brightness. It was a dive in a lake and limited visibility. The blackout option is necessary when there is a lot of material floating in the water. The magnetic switch worked perfectly. This size is fine. I'm too big for a backup in my pocket, but we made it.
