But good idea. in accessories and consumables

, I have been installing AV for over 20 years. I know these products. The bottom line is, if you can get your RJ45 end (the end of the cat's network cable) to sit right in the receiving balun, they will work. If you breathe around them, they lose touch. I've tried every way I can to reach this tantric position, but obviously I'm a bad student. However, this does not appear to be an issue with the sending device. end of the line.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons

Works great but has limitations

This works really well and all functions work as advertised, however the receiver unit gets very hot (although it doesn't have its own power supply and is powered via ethernet from the transmitter adapter). I don't think this is an "official" HDBaseT device. This product comes in a standard white box with a general manual and no warranty. I can't mention this product on the Orei website, so I wouldn't count on warranty service if needed.

Pros

Cons

It still works. - Accessories and consumables

It's been a few months since I bought this but I finally got the chance to install it (based on my son putting things in my new Xbox1). The installation took a long night (due to user error). I first tested the devices at 4ft with a spare Cat5 cable I had. I disconnected the HDMI from the TV, connected it to the transmitter, connected Cat5 to both receivers on the transmitter and connected the new HDMI from the receiver to the TV. Immediately the connection was made and the light connected. Itโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
