Origin8 PART CLMP ADPTR 28 6SL Review

Wanted to upgrade my salsa casseroll with ultegra 9 speed and couldn't find a derailleur with a clip to match. I managed to install Braze on the mount and picked up this adapter. He has since transitioned as champion.

Unfortunately I didn't get around to using this one because I bought the wrong size but after comparing it to the one I used (which was also more expensive) I would like to have the right one Size. Very strong and clean clamp for solderable derailleurs.

Worked great for brazing a front derailleur to a bike without a bracket. It's a little heavy compared to what the tape on the switch weighs, but I had a soldered replacement switch so I bought it in lieu of a new switch.

It worked exactly as I needed it to. I put a modern rear derailleur on a vintage steel frame bike. Of course, no modern switches will fit in this older, smaller tube. So that was the solution. He worked on mating a modern Campangnolo Veloce derailleur with a 1970's Columbus frame. If only they made it out of carbon fiber. :)

I bought this to use a derailleur from an old frame that had a derailleur eyelet on a new frame that didn't have this. The fit is perfect and the finish is very, very nice. The only downside is that the supplier didn't provide a torque specification, but I found an initial suggestion and will experiment to find the minimum torque that will hold the adapter in place when switching to the large chainring.

It's basically an adapter so the perfect view would be when you forget you have it installed because it's so easy and forget you have it on your bike because there isn't causes problems and harmonizes with them. exactly my experience. For me this is a much better solution than buying another switch. I've never installed either and had no issues compared to the front derailleur which was designed to mount to the seat tube.
