Great for kayaking, but also better for boating and sailing

An excellent bow light not only for boats but also for kayaks if you want to set a permanent light! Such bright and quality materials. The LEDs are well made. There's just one downside... no gasket is supplied underneath, but it's easy to make out of sheet rubber or thin sheets of styrofoam.

This light is complete nonsense!

Don't waste your money on this poor quality garbage lantern. I unpacked it, checked, it works. I then put it in my boat and only the red side lit up. The lantern's wires are so thin that it is very difficult to connect them to the boat's wiring. I'm sorry I wasted my money on this.

CHECK THIS BEFORE INSTALLATION OR BEFORE CLOSING WINDOW

Ordered in September and finally found the time with my work schedule to install this light on the boat. connected everything correctly clicked the switch no light. The power from the switch to the light still didn't work. I connected the light directly to the battery and the test leads still don't light up. Lesson learned.

DO NOT unscrew from the housing!

Because the top of the case covers the holes for the mounting screws when viewed from above. You can't drill straight holes in an aluminum boat without removing the two screws from the bottom of the hull. This will expose the flexible LED strip and the positive and ground connections from the strip to the wire. This connection is VERY fragile, mine broke with very little movement of the wire. I'm sure there is a way to restore that connection, but I didn't want to go through the hassle. When…
