Not recommended. Best Puller

I got it working but when the pilot flexes persistently it flexes too much and slides off. The legs are very thin and bend inward when pulled. Not recommended.

Pros
  • Puller for attaching to OTC and other slide hammers with 5/8-18 thread
Cons
  • Older model

Not recommended. for tools and equipment

I got it to work but if the pilot is at all persistent it will flex too much and slide off. The legs are very thin and bend inward when pulled. Not recommended.

Pros
  • Replacement Jaws - One set of jaws covers the range 1/2" to 1-1/2", another set of jaws covers the range 3/8" to 1-3/8" away; Both jaw sets have a 1" reach
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Ideal for most pilot bearings

This puller fits most guide bearings without modification. The details seem well done. You can see that both sets of puller arms start with the same stock, but one of them is ground down more on the inside to fit the smaller holes.

Pros
  • High quality materials ensure tool life throughout its life.
Cons
  • No.

A quality tool that makes work easier.

This is one of those tools that you might not need often, but it will save you a lot of time and nerves. Allows quick removal of the pilot bearing or any bearing or ring that needs to be removed without rear access suitable for this tool. Of course, for proper use you must have a slide hammer. Quality means you will have it for life unless you rent it.

Pros
  • Reach has a range of min./max. 3/16 inch to 1 inch.
Cons
  • cargo.

and cleaning was easy.

. Pins broke or bent when trying to pull a bearing out of a Chevy 350. I learned the trick by watching YouTube. Stuff the bread into the hole and use a hammer to knock out the bearing with a screw slightly smaller than the diameter of the guide hole. The hydraulic pressure (dough) pushes the bearing out. It only took 5 minutes to use this method and cleanup was easy.

Pros
  • Used to pull the pilot bearing or bushing off the end of the crankshaft.
Cons
  • Obsolete model
