A beautiful light set that shines brightly at dusk and at night. Change the color to orange for fall and purple for Halloween. Some great settings for the Christmas atmosphere. It would be great to have special settings for vacation mode in a future version. Plan to keep them going year round and change up the look as needed.

I was concerned about the brightness and the overall flexibility of the cable. Definitely smaller than I thought. I thought the rope lantern would be wider. But the brightness is still there. I love the many options it offers for color as well as fading, permanent, etc. I highly recommend them. You'll be able to stay up all year long as I can change up the colors for the holidays. They are much thinner than expected. The "rope" is a thin plastic sheath over the light wire. I used them outdoors. The plug was weatherproof, but the bulbs were not. They are perfect for what we need. Very easy to place as Christmas lights. I didn't even use the clamps that came with it; Instead, I just drove some nails into the railing and ran the rope's light back and forth a few times. MUCH easier than traditional Christmas lights which I used to avoid because of the hassle. First, they're not tacky like the others. You can't just stick it to the wall, for example. Second, I thought it was a thick round rope, the same as I have around the pool deck. but it is actually a very thin round rope lamp. Although I'm not upset. The rope light is very easy to hang up. I say hang up because it comes with 10 tiny clamps and little nails to hold it in place, which is what I was going to do anyway because my walls are very textured and I can't use command strips or anything…

So the first set of headlights that we received was defective. They didn't turn on out of the box. But amazon immediately sent us another set with no problems, arrived in two days. The second set works great. However, I will say that if your deck or whatever you are attaching them to is very windy, you might want to get other clips to hold these lights.
