The product is poorly made and broke the first time the dog pushed it. The included hooks will not stick to any surface for more than 3 seconds. And it doesn't even have anything to do with the possibility of having stripes at the top and bottom. This is an absolute waste of money. I have never been so disappointed with a product in my life. Please do not buy.

I love that this product has 2 sizes that I can use. It comes with 3 different types of hooks depending on what type of surface you are using it on. I use it on the wall so it has 4 hooks to easily hammer them into the wall. My toddler is always going into my bathroom, trying to get into the shower, toilet and playing with glass candle holders. First, it is NOT 82.6 inches wide. So if you have an 81 inch wide kitchen path like I do, it's actually two inches wide or so, too small to secure. Not at all, because the width when assembled is about 80.5 inches, but the loops that go to the wall hooks are another 1/2 inch in on each side, so the distance between the wall hooks is less than 80 inches. Not what I was hoping for at all!1. It says it's retractable. When I've looked at other sliding gates, they roll around the post when you pull. It's not like this. I believe this was designed for well behaved senior dogs, not young active curious dogs. They know that the phrase 'locks' is only meant to keep honest people honest and these gates are meant to keep dogs that are already well behaved out of the restricted area.
