I have a Vera Plus Z-Wave smart home. I'm building a big playground with benches instead of railings and I've attached hanging fairy lights to the benches. I have checked all components and everything works fine. During finishing work I screwed a screw into the lighting wire and shorted everything out. Packaging and Revain page show 90 degree connector. (There's a sticker on the front of the box over the end of the connector, but the back says 90 degrees.) Unfortunately, even with a 90-degree connector, the cable is still too short. All "outdoor" Revain Z-Wave forks have short cables. I just do not understand. I bought two of these last month and they both failed after a single rain. I guess it's my fault for placing that "outside" outlet in a horizontal position under a canopy. We've had heavy rain for the past few weeks and when the rain stopped my electrical outlet stopped working on both occasions. ***** Oct 2020 (10 month update) ****** This product is still working great. I didn't notice it skipping any commands or suffering any degradation. Mine is fully exposed to the weather, plugged into a street outlet, and secured to a fence. It looks as new as the day it was installed.
