Perfect replacement for Shimano Ratchet

After 4 years of mountain biking I needed to replace my Shimano clutch so bought I'm a new here at Revain. This tool was automatically suggested by Revain so I ordered it after doing a little research to confirm it was indeed the right tool for my freehub. When my order arrived I used this tool to remove the old clutch from the wheel. The tool fits perfectly. (You may have to scrape all the accumulated dirt off the old ratchet to get the tool in, but it fits a Shimano ratchet.) I had to make aโ€ฆ

  • Fits 12 Spline 22.6mm ratchet ratchets including Shimano, Sachs Aris, SunRace, DNP Epoch and other 5-10 speed ratchets

Well done! goes well with Shop Tools

Unlike the Chinese imitations of this product, the Park Tool was solidly made and served its purpose despite costing almost twice as much as fakes . It ran on a Shimano freewheel which I had on the bike for almost 3 years although it took quite a bit of torque and some time to figure out how to apply the torque required. Wrench with teeth in the jaws. The reason for this was that the teeth caused the wrench to slip off when a large amount of torque was applied, causing the end of the tool toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Has an oversized 15mm through hole to accept 14mm solid axles
Cons
  • Long delivery time

The strongest freewheel tool ever made!

I had a very rusty and stubborn freewheel which I tried unsuccessfully for two days to remove. I've actually had several large high quality adjustable wrenches with tie rods flexing and flexing around this tool and the tool stayed intact. This only caused a slight rounding of the corners, but the tool proved quite usable. I doused the hub and freewheel in penetrating oil and let them sit overnight but it still wouldn't come off so I ended up resorting to a 2 foot pipe wrench on this toolโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Thin wall design allows use without removing cones and locknuts
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Worked great, great tool, great price, fast delivery, worth the price.

Purchased to remove the freewheel rear sprocket on my son's old Mongoose mountain bike. We bought the bike from either the Academy or WalMart about 5-8 years ago, it hasn't been ridden in years, the bearing grease has dried up and the wheels hardly spin anymore. I needed this tool to remove the freehub so I could remove the bearings on the right side of the bike and clean and re-grease the bearings. This tool fitted the wedges perfectly and I used a 1" socket with a 1/2" drive and a breaker toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Heat treated alloy tool steel
Cons
  • Disappearing
