Great for Battery Tester

All you need to know is to use distilled water and make sure the lid and nozzle are tight. It uses an airtight compartment to sense when the cell is full and stop the flow. If the cover is loose, it will not hold. Listen for air bubbles coming in, if they stop the cell is full. it's slow As long as you charge your batteries regularly, you're good to go. If you're lazy and sloppy like me, use a measuring cup and funnel to get them closer, and filler last.

This item is great! I have many cars and it is so easy and accurate to use. No more trying to shine a flashlight down the fill hole, then pour some more water, then check with the light again, etc. etc. Just pop it into the battery fill hole, wait for it to stop gurgling, take out, and onward to the next hole. No more drips or spills thanks to the automatic shut-off valve, no more trying to hold your head against the battery sight glass to check the electrolyte level. I highly recommend thisโ€ฆ

mine works fine

After reading reviews about it not working properly I decided to find out how it works before using it on my batteries. I've found that as long as both screw caps are closed against air leaks, the water stops. flows once the tip is submerged. Mine worked fine, no problems. One thing I noticed about my bottle is that I can see light coming from a tiny pinhole in the bottom of the bottle. I don't know if it's really a hole or just a tiny air bubble in the plastic. In any case, no water leaksโ€ฆ

I am sorry. I just don't see the point in it. buy funnel .99c

It was a new idea. Spend money. Seriously, it takes forever to fill a battery. Just buy a funnel for 0.99 cents and save yourself the hassle. I will never use that. Water comes out very slowly. What I think. If you're just "charging" the battery, that's fine. But I have 4 batteries in my golf cart, 6 cells each. That's 24 times I have to wait. and wait. and wait. I used it for three holes and said what's the point? Don't you want to spill some water? I'm not trying to be negative, I just fellโ€ฆ

Difficult to use Good for tools and equipment

Arrived in a blister pack and the hose was twisted more than 90 degrees. When unpacking, the hose was kinked. I started testing my 8 batteries and the arrow stuck behind the logo the entire time. I had to keep filling it to release the pointer. With so many 5 star reviews I ordered it. Well it went in the trash can. Fuel is too expensive to exhaust. I do not recommend this calculator to anyone. Maybe it was just a bad one, but quality control is said to have sent a kinked hose. Even with myโ€ฆ

Top Up!: Tools & Equipment

Makes it easy to top up batteries with distilled water to the correct level without worrying about under or over filling the batteries. I've needed this for many years and you could too. After reading the reviews of others I have found that I have just received this item and have not used it to refill battery cells and cannot verify its performance. I will try to update this review when I use it. Update, tried this thing and found it was overcharging the battery cell. The problem turned out toโ€ฆ

Will overcharge the battery and cause acid to spill

I've seen several reviews complaining about this device not shutting down properly, but I decided to take a chance in the hopes that the complaints related to rare defective valves. Well, if that was the reason, then I got a defective one too. As I prepared to fill 24 very large and expensive deep cycle batteries, I decided to play it safe and test the filling function on a different container first. Of course, I was pleased about that because it was constantly overflowing the test tank and ifโ€ฆ

Affordable chemistry tester priced at

Bought to test cells in several batteries that I needed for troubleshooting. The tester comes with proper instructions and works as intended. It can quickly show you the density of an acid (e.g. how much charge it holds/can hold) for a single cell. Find a cell far from the others, you probably have a dead battery. There were two things that were so-so. First, the bulb at the top is JUST big enough to pull out the level you need to check. You have to flatten it completely to get the levels downโ€ฆ
