About the sandpaper

After riding back and forth on the ramp, it was clear that the sandpaper's "non-slip" surface just wasn't good. We've all seen the carpet version here at Revain, but paid another $70 for a few carpet stains. I fixed mine with a kitchen mat cut to fit each section as the rubber backing is better for gluing bare threads together. I used Gorilla Glue and it works great. My dog weighs 150 pounds and with a little guidance on the ramp, she does great. Love the triple function otherwise it would be…

Wrong weight

So we've been using it for over a year. The ramp is rated at 200 pounds. Finbarr just gained 154 pounds. The ramp turns just past the edge. I extended the ramp to its maximum length so she can climb quickly, but when her weight reaches the top, the entire structure buckles and she falls. We bought TWO of these ramps, one for each truck (F250 and Excursion). Now he's afraid to use the ramp and I'm worried about finding another one. We travel everywhere almost every weekend for water rescue…

After some modifications this is a great purchase

Bought a ramp for an older dog. He's having trouble with the stairs so I decided to modify them for this purpose. Other reviews said the tread was sandpaper so I bought indoor and outdoor rugs and cut them to size. This makes walking much easier for my dog. To keep it from slipping off the steps, I placed two rubber door stops under the bottom edge. The cost of consumables to modify is about $8. So be aware that you will have to add something, but you can't beat the cost for the length of the…

Exactly what we need!

I received this item for my 14 year old Chihuahua who has lower back problems. He's more reluctant to go up the steps to the house and the fall and winter rains are upon us and I hate going outside, down and up the stairs to get him off the potty. This ramp is perfect for our needs! It goes well with the stairs and is not too steep for him. It took me a short day to teach him how to use the ramp. (Who said you can't teach old dogs new tricks?) I love the light weight that allows me to remove or

Perfect Size #: Road Trip Accessory

Ramp is the perfect size for my bed and is sturdy but has a few issues. First, the material on the ramp is like sandpaper. I have three dogs and the first two went through with no problems but the third showed up with a problem. She didn't dare to get up. She would have tried, but then changed her mind. After several tries, I looked down and saw the faint bloodstains from her paws on my white carpet! I've found that if the dog only snaps at it once, it's not a problem, but if there are multiple

Pet Ramp got us back on the road!

Petgear's three-wing ramp is light enough for me, a frail but agile middle-aged woman, to throw in and out of my car. The ramp is strong enough to support a 100 lb turtle. Yes, I said turtle. I can no longer get my terrapin in and out of the car, but I MUST get it in and out. Aside from his yearly vet visit, we love going to the park, the pet store, and events like the Autistic Walk. The Petgear Travel-Lite trifold ramp takes us there. Frankie (by Frankie Tortoise Tails) is wider than the…

2 thumbs up from me 4 paws from Daisy the dog.

Got this for my 11 year old rescued Pitbull. I already had another brand, an oblong double bladed aluminum model. I used aluminum on my old Chesapeake Bay Retriever. It worked well for dogs and fit in the bed of my Chevy 4X4 truck. It was strong but heavy, and it was becoming increasingly difficult to fold up and pack into the truck. Luckily my old dog died before me from struggling with that heavy ramp. I stopped using the ramp because my pit bull could climb into the front cab of the truck…
