2005 Vulcan 800 Classic

Worked well after cutting off most of the arm otherwise it was blocked by the tank. I had to replace the fuel and vacuum lines but for the price it worked great after a little modification.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Minor issues

that fits, yes. Does it work the same as OEM #

OEM 5/16 outlet nipple, 3/16 outlet nipple replacement. The reserve tube fitted into the filter element is 1/4 shorter than the brass tube fitted into the original housing/bracket.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • old

Copes with its task perfectly

Not quite OEM but works well. I had to sharpen the valve handle down but closer to the tank. Not so hot what's up. I was hesitant to purchase this part due to the bad reviews, glad I bought it. 110.00 for original part, am very satisfied with this part.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • There are nuances

Cheap but works well.

Lever too long to fit under the tank of my 2002 Vulcan 800 Classic. A few minutes with a sanding pad and I was able to wear the lever to a comfortable length. The filter straws do not fit tightly against the filter and can allow small foreign objects to pass through. All in all, this is a cheap Chinese fuel tap that will get the job done if you don't mind fiddling with it a bit.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Only available in black

Can't beat the price

Installed screws looked used as they were rounded but it worked. A review said the fuel line size was different from the factory, and it is. The factory size for the 99 VN800 is 5/16" from the tap to the 1/4" inlet at the carburetor. It's a 1/4" outlet, which means I can just buy one fuel line at an auto parts store instead of fitting two sizes. In the state we live in, we have a mandated ethanol content in gasoline and our fuel lines are wearing out quickly as a result. Now all I need is one…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Not a direct replacement for Jerry Rig Requires

A search revealed that the crane would work on my Kawasaki Vulcan VN800 motorcycle. The reason I bought this was because the OEM part was over $100. I just wanted a relatively inexpensive troubleshooter and maybe keep it on the bike. The problem is that the lever that moves the crane through its range of motion was blocked by the fuel tank. In other words, it didn't fit. I had to file about 1/8 inch the thickness of the faucet arm in order for it to fit and work as intended. Two stars because…

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.
