Great for rough plumbing

I bought this valve for an outdoor shower at a beach house. Everything is fine except that when I ordered ceramic pins from the same manufacturer, they were not compatible. In order for them to fit, I had to order a separate piece for each handle. And only the manufacturer had this information. Maybe the plumbers union is behind it, but I think that's stupid. And there should be clear instructions on what you need to make the thing work.

Perfect, not a drop

I have ordered 2 of these from different sources. I installed them professionally and they are both leaking. You couldn't turn off the water completely. they continued to drip rapidly. Nothing from the plumber could stop the water. Because of this, I bought and installed another brand. doesn't drip perfectly! The Pfister valve is junk. Don't order them unless you want to install, remove, buy another, install, remove and then get a good one. Gerber is way better than the branded rough valve!

Robust construction. I had ceramic valves.

Robust construction. The one I got had ceramic valves, Pfister, part S10-030, which were about $35 each. I had a lot of trouble finding the right flange and socket for this faucet. I called Pfister a couple of times and they said to use the 960-110A flange and 972-201A socket which are very hard to find. I found out myself that the correct bushing and flange kit is a Pfister S60-151A which is around $16. Neither my local plumbing supplier nor Pfister could tell me that.

Much luck! You will need it for this.

I am giving two stars because it aligned and worked as intended. Also, they are strong. They will not bend or bend like most mixing valves. Big problem though. Maybe this is an isolated case, but I bought two and both turned out to be defective! They both had a tiny pinhole in the same spot just above the faucet. I was able to fix them by filling the holes with solder but still. I personally will never buy them again. I hate replacing them the way they are, so having to do it all over again…

  • Easy to use

Excellent product, important installation notes in the review!

Really good replacement for an 80's factory that fell apart. I was very pleased to find that the handles only rotate a quarter turn. That's when I realized I didn't have to worry about a leaking valve stem anymore. !***** CAUTION - Hot/cold valves open in mirror image. YOU HAVE THEM CLOSED IF * both turn counter-clockwise. So to get hot from closed turn the knob clockwise BUT cold water needs to turn counter clockwise to open. *** I say this so everyone can be sure that both valves are properly

You may not always get what you want, but you can get what you need.

Just what I need. Had to replace my failed 20 year old assembly. Since the old valves were leaking and creaking, I emailed Pfister pictures of the valves to have them replaced under warranty. The funny thing was that they sent me new ceramic valves (less than a week later I might add!) while the original valves/assemblies were compression type with rubber valve discs. So they don't work in my old compression style valve body. But since this build was cheaper than buying new valves and the case…

  • This is amazing

Nice valve if you have a lifetime to install it!

Received this valve on February 6th 2016 and installed it within a week. Found it dripping and applied for a Phister guarantee which can take over an hour to wait. Eventually when I found the person he was very helpful and sent new cartridges for the valve. Ten days later they arrived and I installed them but couldn't tell any difference. They continued at the same speed as before. I called the Pfister warranty department again and waited over an hour for an answer. Obviously the valve body was
