DO NOT BUY! manufacturing defect. All devices work.

The price keeps dropping and you think $32 is a lot for an AC1900 with integrated Intel. It also looks cool and has nice features (MIMO and others). BUT it's just rubbish. That's why they keep lowering the price. Wired connection speed, Wi-Fi signal strength, bridge, Wi-Fi extension, etc., none of these work properly. Wi-Fi signal is very weak (slower than my AC1200 device), keeps chattering (loss of signal and reconnecting), Wi-Fi extension not working with new firmware, no bridging function,…

Pros
  • Acceptable

  • Poor set

Internet breaks off, support does not respond, do not buy

I really wanted to have this router. It was a great price and I was sure it would compete well with the Intel hardware. Looks nice too. Problem: The cable modem connection drops two or more times a day. I updated the firmware and it still worked. I changed it to a new one and it did the same thing. I went back to my old ASUS N-Speed router and it was stable for a week, then went back to K3C and crashed multiple times a day. I'm sorry but I can't go on like this. I'm sorry too because it was…

Pros
  • Working in hands-free mode
Cons
  • For a long time

Amazing Performance

This router is very good, especially for the money. I got it working as a Wi-Fi extender and the performance is excellent 60Mbps+ up/down Wi-Fi to Wi-Fi, a 5GHz hop with a wall in between. I think with some channel adjustments the speed could be better but overall it's pretty good. It even has a VPN feature for connecting and tunneling between sites, which again is a great feature, especially for the money. The distance is pretty well better than Ubiquiti AC PRO which is kind of a gold standard

Pros
  • Special Offer
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled

I had to return the money - loved how it looks and how easy it is to connect. I connect to a COX router to extend my network and move to the middle of an apartment building for better reception in the back room while working from home. Unfortunately, it didn't work with my cable provider's COX modem. It kept dropping my wireless connection to my work laptop and I had to restart it several times a day. Trying to get your work done from home and in online meetings is not good. After 2 days I ran…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • For pensioners

WiFi degrades every 24 hours

I recently bought this router because of its great features and price. The hardware in this device is of the highest quality, but the firmware is limited and contains bugs. I don't think user error contributes to the basic error I'm seeing: When I connect my iPad or laptop on the 5G frequency (set to auto-handshake and using the "ac" protocol with connect these two devices), several hours and then slows down almost to the stop. Sometimes it happens the same day, but always the next day. This…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Hard to say

Uptime/reliability ruins a router that works otherwise well

I have bought a total of 3 of these routers in a short period of time based on reviews on smallnetbuilder. Unfortunately, smallnetbuilder accounts for performance but not reliability, which is my main issue with them. I can therefore speak with certainty only of the first two cases. The one installed in a family member's house dropped the connection fairly constantly. Each time we were able to reboot the router and we were up and running again. You have a decent number of devices at home, but…

Pros
  • I have my fingers crossed
Cons
  • I have doubts

This is a great budget router

This router is impressive, especially for the price. However, I have to deduct a star for the user interface. The WPS setup seems like I have to press it too long for it to work. This is the same button as when restarting the router. So I'll start over in 5 seconds. But it worked. The firmware is nice, but does not allow to go deep into the settings. I was concerned about the security of the wireless network. I wanted to make sure it's WPA2. It seems like that happens. May be. I emailed support

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Fast router with somewhat short 5GHz band (UPDATED)

Update after 4 months: unstable connection, intermittent drop in WiFi signal strength, no firmware updates and random shutdowns (2-3 times within 8 hours) very greatly cooled my enthusiasm for this router. I ended up turning it off and using it as a decoration. Customer support is non-existent. Wouldn't buy again. Update 3 weeks later: Router still works but there are intermittent outages. There is a signal, the device is connecting to the router, but there is no traffic. It doesn't last long…
