Alternator Noise Solution

Installs behind the main unit on the ignition power wire. 90% noise reduction! I will install another one on the DC cable. Good product. Excellent packaging. Excellent seller. Very satisfied! I would buy it again right away!

Pros
  • Nice package
Cons
  • Low maintenance

Worked as it should

In a new amp setup, with everything tested and retested and retested. Shifting pads, insulating wires, and swapping cables—nothing could solve the generator's horrid screeching. I installed that and everything got rid of the nagging. I suspect it's because of the cheap nameless head unit and amp I use in my Jeep. It was cheap and a huge improvement.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Failed to fix interference in CB

Failed to fix interference in my CB radio fed back into the electrical system from my LED headlights. I also use LED ferrite chokes, CB power cords, CB antenna cables and copper shielding tape on the antenna wires. However, the product was shipped very punctually and arrived quickly. It seems to work, but for $10 it's worth a try.

You have to know where to put it.

The generator in my radio tape recorder hummed a lot. I bought two just in case. I set the first according to the power of the radio. It has NOT improved anything. Just for a smile I put it next to the cigarette lighter because it turned on my phone when I turned on the bluetooth radio. The noise is almost completely gone. The noise was being pumped through the charger, not the radio. I'm going to get another one and put it in parallel because it's only 10 amps and I want at least 15 amps (I…

Amazing: my problem

available I have a Pioneer W4660NEX head unit in my Porsche Cayman. Everything I did for this device and the previous Pumpkin Android device resulted in a strong generator hum. I've been working on this off and on for two years! I spent $600 on a new main unit to have it repaired. I've tried rare magnets, extra ground wires, rewiring, rerouting power and ground from speakers, swapping RCA connectors, and isolating it all. No dice. I cut the red + power wire on the radio side ISO harness. Place…

Worth it if you have a little noise.

The product definitely removed some noise but didn't eliminate it. I have an odd situation in my car that requires ground isolation, so to speak. I don't use my phone's aux cable like most people, but instead use a Bluetooth FM radio transmitter, which even at low volume gets a pretty obnoxious alternator whistling through the stereo. This product reduced the noise level by about 60-70% but it was not a permanent solution to the problem. Installation wasn't difficult at all, but finding the…

Working but still noisy

After I installed the product, the alternator noise was half gone. I can still hear it, but it's much quieter. First I tried connecting the red battery to the red filter, the black to ground, and the blue filter to the red stereo. The noise didn't get any better. I then tried filtering red to automotive yellow, black to black, and finally blue to stereo yellow. That was the configuration that worked for me. The generator noise is half gone. Maybe it would be half as much if I put a second one…

Eliminates 99% of the ignition noise in my CB

This filter worked great with my Jeep CB radio. I was able to make a detachable track harness to also provide the GMRS radio which I installed at the same time. The CB suffered from some ignition noise - quite annoying - but the ANL switch on the radio brought it down to an acceptable level. However, once I add this filter, the ignition noise is completely GONE, even with ANL off! probably has no condition. I connected RED to +12 volts and BLUE powers the radio. BLACK of course goes to…
