PIT BOSS 68014 Roaster Griddle Review

Great Dutch Oven! A little seasoning is required before first use. The lid fits securely. Was only used for baking bread (main reason for buying) but plans to use it for stir fries and beans soon. Love it! But I wouldn't spend more than 70€ for it. You can get it from pitboss for that price. I followed it closely until a really good sale price came up.

I bought this specifically for making sourdough bread even though I knew it could do a lot more than just bake sourdough. The cast iron brazier/pan is the bomb. It rocks sourdough like, uh, LIKE A BOSS! I wasn't a fan of the factory finish on the pan/lid (too unfinished in my opinion) but that is typical of most new cast iron cookware. I've used it about 8 times to bake oblong sourdough bread. Although it's quite difficult, I'm 63 years old, this is my job. It holds the heat well, I bake at 450. I put the bread on the lid and use the bottom as a dome, it's easy to get the bread out without burning your hands. This worked very well for me. I actually baked a 2lb loaf in it, it was huge. I'll confess I probably don't use it for its intended purpose for grilling - it's a Pit Boss brand after all. I use cast iron to bake bread. I was looking for a larger cast iron cookware to bake large buns and this one was perfect! The video shows how well the download went!
