Bought for an elderly father who lives out of state. Too heavy. I wanted to pre-set it up for him and treat him to his next visit, but this device has too many other unnecessary things like calculator, weather information, music streaming, etc. in the basic operation for that. If the power is interrupted, it returns to the home page, which most elderly people cannot navigate. It should provide additional simplified on/off operation once configured. Don't make it complicated, fool!

I bought this frame and when I went to install it, someone's family photos were already on it. I thought I bought it new, but I definitely didn't. Although annoyed that it was already in use, I decided to just delete their photos and reconfigure it for my own use. I have loved Pix Star frames for many years (have bought about 10 so far). But this new model is so badly engineered that it's stunning. They can no longer be hung horizontally on the wall. They have mounting holes on the back, but they're three inches off-center, so they can't be used! There is simply no excuse for such bad design flaws.
