🚴 Planet Bike Blinky Bottle Side Light for Bikes Review

Great little flashlight. My main reason for buying it was so I could see my bottle cage when riding at night. Now it's much easier for me to bring my bottle back to the cage with the light installed. Also a good additional safety measure is the active side view when cycling in the neighborhood at night.

Pros: Works great. I drive to work at 5am and the improved visibility is fantastic. The bad: no battery, you have to remove the bottle cage to remove it. Ugly: Not waterproof and not even waterproof. After a couple of wet rides and a couple of light splashes, it got so saturated with water that it ate away at the batteries, and even after cleaning the contacts it lights up, but the on/off button stopped working. This is a great low profile side light that increases your visibility to motorists and other cyclists. When properly installed, it fits very well. It is very unlikely that you will ever lose it! Easy installation behind the down tube bottle cage. It has three lighting modes, which can be described as "crazy flicker", "wavy light" and "steady light". So far so good after about half a year of regular use (about 10-15 hours a week). When changing the battery (weekly due to the use of rechargeable AAA batteries) the plastic still snaps into place and the rubber seal is intact. The fact that this flashlight does NOT use a pre-installed lithium ion battery and is instead powered by AAA is a BONUS as this flashlight will never wear out.
