After evaluating and comparing several network scanners on the market, I chose the Plustek eScan as it is the most affordable model with network capabilities. I like this scanner for its simple and clean interface. I didn't need any settings, I was able to scan documents right out of the box. On the one hand, you might think that a $450 scanner would be faster and with a higher resolution. But apparently, network scanners don't come cheap. I've decided to update this review after taking the time to get the scanner out and play with it a little more. It works much better for me than originally. I updated the firmware and now the problem with multi-page .pdf files is solved. I also noticed a slight bend in the metal spring on the flatbed module, and after straightening it out I was able to scan a multi-page document without double-feeding.
