Files nails well and my bird gets a good load on its paws when using perches of different diameters. Attaches securely to the cage and feels solid even at longer lengths. I definitely recommend this for medium to small birds.

These are the best perches! I needed something for my Indian Ringnecks to keep their claws from being filed. These are the BEST I've ever tasted! Within a day I could already see the difference. They even like to keep their beaks clean. I liked it so much that I bought a smaller size for my parrot! I actually ordered another one in the same size for my green cheek!

I was afraid to get this because of the bad reviews but there were some good ones too. My sun claws were so sharp and long and I couldn't bring myself to wrap them back around to cut them, they were so sharp it felt like little needles were going through my shirt and they were leaving red stitches on my skin leave behind. But the last/first time I wrapped her in a t-shirt to cut her I was nervous the whole time and she didn't speak to me for a few hours, I felt horrible but I got by without it…
