Keep cool for easy handling

Cooling can help beginners, I found it very soft and a bit sticky which made it difficult to handle.

Great for a start

Hello! So, I'm 15 years old and I do really small things. All week I've been watching videos of people working on clay creations and I've been itching to try it myself. I decided to order a cheap set before diving into expensive clays for practice and it was everything I hoped it would be! I haven't baked yet but the colors are great and I've made my first two creations, the first one smeared a lot because I wasn't careful, but the second one turned out great!

  • I keep my fingers crossed

Looks great but didn't harden after baking.

Gorgeous colors, clay feels fresh and sticky. Clay goes well with silicone molds. BUT following the baking instructions, my pieces didn't harden. I used silicone molds to make the leaves and flowers, all 1/4" thick or less except 1 piece and they all came out pliable. I let them sit overnight and then made them again for 25 minutes in one go completely preheated oven (I followed the directions and let them warm up for 20 minutes before putting the food in) and they haven't changed. I've used…

AWESOME beginner jewelry making starter kit

Like many people, I discovered a ton of creative passions while hiding in my apartment during this pandemic and making polymer clay earrings caught my attention . , I decided to give this set a try before investing in more tools and clay-related clutter. I didn't have high expectations as this is a starter kit but I was impressed with the quality of this putty! They are wet and sticky, pre-fired so if you work slowly you don't feel the need to rush into work until the clay is dry. After baking,

Not the best

Please note I am 100% new to using polymer clay. I've never DIYed before but always wanted to and when I saw this set in the Lightning Deal I grabbed it. First, clay stains my hands, especially dark colors like black. It's really frustrating when you're working with different colors because the pigment/stain gets from one to the next and ruins your work. The variety of colors is nice though, and a decent amount of each type if you're making small amulets. I have no experience with different…

A decent polyclay starter for $20!

So I wanted to do something with polymer clay. I used to work with other clays, but mostly just for sculpting. I picked it up because it had different colors and a few basic tools (it was also nice that it came in a box so it didn't dust the clay even though it's cheap plastic). Just so you know, clay sticks are pretty small, but typically people buy small paints (2 ounces) and save the paints they regularly use in bulk (8 or 16 ounces). This is not a downside, just to let you know what to…
